To me, paddles are hard to hide.

Probably a Galco Speedpaddle. As much as I like the idea of an easy on-off paddle holster, I've never been able to use one with any success.

I use a Kramer IWB Clip for my 2" K frame at 1 o'clock or a Mika pocket holster.

Hi:
I mostly wear Bocca Classic Jeans that has deep pockets. I carry a 2" Model 12-2 with a pocket holster inside the right front pants pocket.
Works great.

I sometime carry my 2" Model 64 in a Don Hume clip-on IWB holster. Seems fine to me....

My Kramer IWB #2 does the job in grand fashion for mine...You will never regret getting a high quality holster for your revolver. Also use a sturdy belt with it ...makes all of the difference in the world!

In my experience paddle holsters tend not to conceal well, and the only two that I found comfortable is the older Bianchi design with the suade covered steel paddle. They have since switched to a plastic paddle that is both harder to put on/take off (the reason one gets a paddle) and less comfortible.
The other is an old Buchiemer that I have for a 4" K frame that I found in a used holster bin at a local gun shop. It uses a steel paddle covered in leather and has a strap that goes around your belt to hold it in place. I really like this one and wish I could find a couple more for other guns (N frame and 1911).

If you decide that a paddle is the way to go, make sure you set aside a drawer for all the holsters that you buy that will soon be retired . . . of course that doesn't just apply to paddles, you'll need several drawers for the holsters that you will cast aside in your lifetime.

I'm having the same problem.

I've recently gotten back into snub nosed revolvers again, and I need a good leather (no Kydex) holster. The problem is, most "cookie cutter" companies (Galco, DeSantis, Don Hume, Bianchi, Gould & Goodrich, etc) make all of theirs in a high ride model. Being the fat boy that I am this is not good for short snouted sixguns. My girth makes the grip tilt outwards, defeating any and all chances of good concealment.

There are lots of custom leather crafters out there. Of the many gunleather artists, who makes an OWB holster with MINIMUM cant (almost vertical) and a "lower" ride - meaning I would like the trigger guard/cylinder to be perpindicular (or at least CLOSE) to the belt? Every mass manufactured company that I have looked at (and tried personally) build theirs with the trigger guard WAY above the belt line.

This holster will be for a Smith & Wesson K frame (model 12-2) snubbie and I'll probably get one for my Colt "Cobra" .38 snub as well.

I would be lying if I said "money is not an issue" because on a cop's salary - it is. However, if the holster is EXACTLY what I'm wanting, I will pay accordingly.

Your thoughts/ideas/input please.

I carry my Model 12-2 in a pocket holster.
I like Fobus paddle holsters, but Fobus does not offer one for a 2" "K" frame. Efforts to convince Fobus to offer paddles for 2" "K" frames was not successful. Fobus' answer was to cut off two inches fron a 4" paddle or they could make a "Special Order" for me if I could order 2,000 to 3,000 units for between $30,000 to $40,000. Hense I use a pocket holster.

I already got a model 38 "Bodyguard" in my left front pocket. I need a good belt holster for my model 12.

Be sure to take a look at Bell Charter Oaks for that Model 12 snub. They have some low ride holsters.

Rusty Sherrick has some good, old school, low ride holsters also.

I have a Galco Stinger for my J frames that is awesome.

I looked at the Bell Charter Oaks...no likey.

I guess I'm just gonna hafta buck up and order a Milt Sparks PMK and wait for 6 months. It's about the only one I've seen that rides as low as I want.

Something to consider is the Bianchi (upside down carry) shoulder rig, if they still make it. I had one years ago and carried M10, M19, and Python in it very comfortably. IWB were not comfortable for all day carry. Guys wound up putting the pistol in the drawer, glove box, or under the seat. Make sure you have a comfortable holster IMHO

I also carry a 12-2 in a Mika pocket holster. In the colder months it gets carried in a OWB holster. I just ordered a Side Guard IWB holster. I have one for a 3' model 60 and I like it a lot.

I carry M&P 2" (pre-10) in winter. But not in pocket! Poster is talking Model 10 (a heavy steel gun) not Model 12 (alloy "Airweight') and they are two very different critters when it comes to carry!

I carried a 2" Model 64 in a Mika pocket holster for many moons. Heavier than an Airweight? Yes, but it wasn't that bothersome.

Ditto on the Milt Sparks PMK. Only problem is the wait. Like Yogi Barra said: "nobody ever goes there anymore, it's too crowded"

I decided on a side snap loop OWB from Lobo for my model 12-2 revovler. He sent me some pics and even changed his design around for my liking. I gotta tell ya - he does FANTASTIC work!

I can hardly wait to get mine!
