I've been carrying my 1911 for a lot of the winter - layers and a leather jacket make it much easier to conceal. I tend to be a jeans/shorts-and-t-shirt guy for spring/summer/fall, though. I went to my pusher last week looking for a compact CC piece.

I asked about an LCP - he laughed and said he had a waiting list five long. P3AT? Three people waiting. Gently fondled a Kahr PM9 and then saw the price tag. Carefully put that down, and handled a Bersa Thunder380. Nice. Very nice. Nice weight, nice grips, nice finish. I put down a deposit and took paperwork to my sheriff's office to get it on my permit.

Last night I got it out of hock. Today I took a few pictures:

Next to the 1911:

And for a weight comparison:

1911 w/ full mag (7x230grJHP): 2lb 12oz
Bersa w/ full mag (7x95grFMJ): 1lb 6oz

This Bersa tucks in IWB like it's not even there; carries great in a jacket pocket.

Hopefully a range report tomorrow.
