640 Holster
Any recommendations for a S@W 640 cross draw holster? IWB or OWB, leather or plastic.
Thanks in advance.

Simply Rugged makes a holster called the Silver Dollar Pancake that can be used strong side or as a cross draw. I've got a couple. Hope this helps!

Don Hume H721 OWB for my 640. Have a 1791 OWB but it’s a thicker cut of leather. Use the Don Hume the most. Own two of each. Both well made with a sweat guard.

I use the Don Hume H715-M WCS for my EDC. It is molded to the gun and the leather is like 6-7 ounces that make it thin and works well for IWB. The holster has great weapon retention and built to last. I've owned mine for years, and have several for various guns.
I've found the holster can be comfortably worn strong side (AIWB or behind the hip) and in the cross draw position. I like to carry mine just in front of my strong side hip bone, unless I'm going to be driving for some distance when cross draw works best for me.
The holster holds the gun deep enough that I don't have a printing issue when wearing it with cargo pants and a t-shirt in our humid NC summer weather.
