WARNING Delta-3 (DAVID) BAD DEAL BEWARE!!
WTS/WTT: S&W 10-8 (SOLD), S&W 19-5, (withdrawn) S&W 625-3(TRADE Pending)
Above is his post, below his description of the 625, "amazing! Outstanding inside & out."
I picked it up today and before the FFL showed it to me he asked, "was it used to hammer something", then I looked at it, scratches all over it, metal dings in several places. Very very rough.
I immediately let David know via email an PM, his first email was nasty and a denial.
I give hm my FFLs name, and #, said call my FFL he will verify. He won't call him.
Finally David said he will return my HP, but I have to eat all my costs, not happy but ok cut my loses and I'll send yours and you send mine,
Then David says I have to return his first and he has to inspect his and if it is as i say, then there's a problem and it wasn't like that when he mailed it.
I call bull****!
You send mine first then and only then will I send yours, This guy is not to be trusted period.
This isn't over David I want my HiPower back!
Lastly, a S&W model 625-3, 45 ACP, 4" N frame round butt. I've only had this about a month & it is amazing! Outstanding inside & out. You S&W guys know what these are so I won't add too much here. It includes a new loader/unloader tool, 25 moon clips.(most are still in the packaging), the original square butt rubber grips & a holster that came with it when I purchased it...$825.00/shipped to your ffl.

It would be a GOOD idea to post pics of the gun as received.

I've been trying to work this out with him since yesterday. Since he's decided to take this public, I'll respond as well. I've offered to trade back but I asked if I could examine it before I send the other back as it didn't look like that when it left my possession. He didn't want to send any pics (these are the first ones I've seen) or explain where the "damage" was. He only wanted me to talk to his ffl guy to verify his story.
He traded for a used gun. You all can still read the ad & see the pictures. I think he's being overly critical & sending me nasty e-mails with threats & name calling isn't really helping the situation.
I contend not to do business with HIM! He's one of those guys that would bitch if they here hung with a new rope! Anyone that has done any horse trading knows "that" kind of guy.
I apologize to everyone that this went public but it wasn't my choice. He's being very difficult to deal with.
Since he's seems to want to exagerate what said in the initial e-mail exchange, let me post it here & my response.
Just returned from my FFL, and I am so disappointed, I send you a mint Hipower, and you send me a rough rough, 625, there are dents in the metal your can easily feel, not to mention all the scratches. even my FFL asked if it was used as a hammer, he is the owner of Trophy, his name is Bill, his number is 941-953-5545.
Unless you want to send me some significant $ then I want my Hipower back asap as well as all monies I am out of pocket.
Your post read:
'I've only had this about a month & it is amazing! Outstanding inside & out."
(My response)
John,
I don't know what your talking about any dents or being rough. It's used but in damn good shape. You saw the photos. Where are these dents? and just what about it is rough?
I'll be happy to send back the Hi-Power if your not happy with the S&W, if you think your going to get any money beside sthat, your out of your mind.
I'll send the Browning back to your FFL & you send back the S&W with all 25 moon clips & the two grips.

You tried working it out? giving me 3 unreasonable option when your gun was misrepresented both on the post and during our phone conversation.
I provided my FFL for you to verify my findings, and the fact that is was not damaged in shipping.
What part of "amazing! Outstanding inside & out." would anyone translate to well used and don't forget about our phone conversation on 2/18 at 8:13pm when we spoke and you said your gun was mint. Are you going to deny that as well.
What about this email you sent me, telling me how its going to be:
From: David < [email protected]>
To: alhpabe < [email protected]>.
Date:Sat, Feb 25, 2012 11:29 am
"Listen John, there's no bull**** here. I'll give you back the damn Hi Power! There's no way I'm sending it back to you until I see mine * there's no way I'm compensating you for anything. I say there was no damage when it left my possession. You say it has dents & scratches, yet you won't send me pics of any damage or tell me if the dents are visible or even where they are at on the gun. Are they on the barrel, the underlug...where?
I think you traded for a used gun in excellent shape & that's exactly what you got! Apparently you thought you were getting a pristine gun new in the box. Even though you knew it was used & you even saw pictures of it. I think your being an overly critical pain in the ***!
I'm not getting stuck by sending you back the Hi power & getting mine back that is as damaged as you claim. If it got damaged in the shipping process, then that is something I'll take up with UPS but until I see it, nothing is going to change.
Calling me a criminal & throwing a hissy fit isn't going to help anything.
Since you feel the need to kick & scream & make accusations, you have three choices here.
One, I tell you to pound sand & keep what you got because I know there is nothing of the kind of issues you claim & our deal is done.
Two, You send back the S&W & I get to inspect it for the damages you claim. If it's like you say then, something happened to it on your end or something happened to it during shipping & i send the Browing back to you.
Three, You can admit to yourself that there is nothing wrong with the used gun you traded for & call it good.
Sending me nasty e-mails & threatening me on the S&W board is only going to get you the first choice. I'd prefer choice #2 but you keep pitching a fit & not showing any proof leads me to believe I'm right about your assessment.
So, do you want to leave it like it is & go our seperate ways or do you want to allow me the chance to prove that I'm right or wrong?
I've got over 120 A+ feedbacks on GB & over 40 on AA with only one negative over the years as a seller & that guy was pulling something similar to what I think your trying to do.
It's your choice."
So now somehow your gun was damage after it left you? You see the pictures, are you saying none of that was there when you shipped it.
My FFL says the box had no outside damage and the gun was inside the nylon holster and other packaging material in place, no way it was damaged in shipping. Really?
By the way I have the box, its in perfect condition.

John, stop with the lie. The word mint or anything like that never came up on either side during the phone call. Since You insist on playing the victim here, I too can blow up pictures enough to show some flaws. This is as big as photo bucket would let me make them. (sorry I'm not photoshop savvy) but If I could make them bigger, then they obviously would look worse.
Anyway, since this is turning into a childish "he said" vs "he said" here is the "pristine" (his words) browning he sent me)
I could get my panties in a bunch because it isn't like you said too but it's a used gun in nice shape. I expect that there will be some cosmetic issues.
Just for clarity, here's the photos from the ad.

That's enough bickering in the open forum. If you want to continue, do so via PM, email, or telephone.
