Mossburg 835 tune up???
Our 835 has a bad habit of not lifting a new shell to the barrel. It is that the shell does not get released from the tube. What am I missing? When this happens in slow motion just a "bump" at the rear of the pump stroke will release the next shell.

I have not bought a Mossberg in a week, but I would suggest you phone the factory and return it for repairs.

I cannot believe that everyone here just sends in every little problem that comes along. I cannot be the first with this, I just have not ran across a good mossberg forum.

I'd try a good detail cleaning and lubeing first. Just be careful as it's a more complicated gun than it first appears. I had a devil of a time putting mine back together with no parts break down and before the days of internet forums.
They are good guns but are finicky with some brands of 3 1/2 inch shells I learned. The longer ones especially as I think maybe their actions are a bit short for 3 1/2 inch. At least I found that to be the case with my early model 835.
Good luck and hopefully someone will come along that knows the gun better.

Cubfarm1, have you tried the guys at shotgunworld.com? That site has both a gunsmithing section plus a Mossberg one. I bet you'll get your answer in no time.
