A recent issue of, "Gun Week" carried a review by J.B. Wood about the new copy of the FN "Baby Browning" .25.

It is made by Precision Small Arms in Nevada or Colorado, I forget which. I think the plant is in one place, maybe the corporate HQ in the other. I've mislaid the review, so can't check.

Anyway, Wood mentioned only the price for the top of the line version, with a fancy case, and the company's site wasn't too informative about real prices, either.

Does anyone here know the prices for the basic blue steel version and the stainless steel one?

Has anyone bought one? How do you like it, if so?

Please, no anti-mousegun rants. I know the limitations of the .25 auto.

I have owned a PSP-25 for over 20 years. (PSP was the company's early name.) Its an excellent, high quality licensed copy of the Browning Baby. Its been totally reliable and is more accurate than one could expect from such a small weapon.
I bought mine way back when there was no such thing as a really small .32 or .380. Its so good that I've never seen a need to replace it with the larger calibers currently avalible.
Prices have gotten pretty high. I think the standard blue model goes for around $400 now. But if you want a truely small pocket pistol, its worth it.

I got a Baby about a month ago locally. Guy had inherited it from his grandfather and decided to have it refinished a mat blue. THEN he sold it to a LGS.

This stuff makes me very upset!! Getting rid of your grandpas gun, should not happen.

But on the plus side I picked it up for 200 bucks. At least I appreciate the gun.

this concern seems to make the trade shows every year. Finding useful information about them is illusive. I e-mailed the company about two years ago and got a very strange and uninformative response. I also e-mail an individual who was listed as a sales representative and got no answer at all. Their current web site lists no active dealers or distributors and the sales rep has disappeared.

There was some internet posting about them one to two years ago at which time, several people reported owning PSPs made in past years with most voicing the opinion that the major parts are castings and the overall quality good but not quite up to fn/browning standards.

In that $400/$450 price range , I'd most probably purchase a Browning 'Baby' 25. Some very nice condition guns can be bought for that. Nothing like the real article.

If the stainless steel thing really matters, and you can't live w/o one of those versions ,,then it might make sense to spend the money.
