Registered Magnum in the 6 1/2 inch barrel length. I would though take a 5-inch blued 27, 27-2 or pre-27, I just don't have the money for any of them at the moment.

Don't know about anyone else but I want a model 610 in Mountain Gun configuration. Of course, it has to be pre-lock, pre-MIM and have the firing pit attached to the hammer. Guess I'm not going to have much luck with that one.

I want all the good guns back that I stupidly sold or traded off in my youth or when times were tough. Some I've replaced already...that sure makes you feel dumb...and some I will never be able to replace. It's too sad to think about right now.

I suppose you could go by sales to determine "the gun that everybody wants."
By that, i would guess the 94 Winchester or 870 Remington would be very near the top.

I have (had) an addiction to buying guns. When one came along that pulled at my heart strings, I would buy it. There were times I bought a couple guns a month but virtually every year would see my collection grow by 6-8 guns. Some were rifles, some were shotguns and most were handguns.
Then last year, I ordered a new S&W 1911. It was such a great gun, I bought a second like it. Since the last purchase last fall, I have bought only one more gun and only did so because I felt it too good of a deal to pass up.
Now I think my addiction is cured. The S&W 1911 has been my perfect gun, better than Colt, better than LB or Clark. I am no longer excited about what hits the market, new or used.
They may not be the gun everyone wants but they are the guns I am totally happy with. Where I used to make all the gun stores, pawn shops and auction sites, now I spend that time shooting. Of course, shooting is getting more expensive than buying guns.

I have slowed down on my gun buying for many years now, especialy since I retired. I am proud of my old collection, and excludeing autos, I could probley outfit a platoon or two. Yet there are only a few that I have in mind that I might buy if I stumble across them. Otherwise I have everything I could possibly invent a reason to own. There are old classic colts, smiths and winchesters that I would buy if they were super cheap and I caught the owner napping, but they would also have to be in rare good condition. I am almost 70, not 20. That does put a different light on accumilateing stuff. For the most part, there isnt a modern new gun made that turns me on. Only the older classics.

A 3 1/2 inch, tapered barrel, partial lug, model 627 with a checkered top strap and sight rib. Really should email that idea to Lew Horton, bet they could order a run of 500 and sell every single one in less than a week.

And if I can't have 2, then one will do just fine, if it is in 20 bore.

Why don't you just call in an air strike. I love the smell of napalm in the morning, it smells like...fried squirrel.
