Default MPA380 Protector

Has anybody else tried out the Masterpiece Arms MPA380?
I got one a short time ago, 'cause I wanted a 380 made of real
metal. Plastic is okay, but just doesn't inspire confidence in me.
Both upper and lower are made of 4140, for a curb-weight of
11.8 ounces. I expected recoil to be pretty harsh, as I've shot all-steel
Brownings and an Hsc in 380. Recoil wasn't anywhere near as bad as I expected, and the gun is just barely larger than a Colt vest pocket .25.
Don't know how reliability will be, but for less than $300, it seemed
like a good idea. TACC1

It looks like a direct copy of the defunct Autauga. That was not a bad little pistol. No .380 version was available. The Autaguga and NAA came out as lower cost options to the Seecamp. The Autaguga IMO would have done better if Kel Tec had not come out with yet lower cost options.

A poster on another forum says that there is a direct connection
to the Autauga model. Whatever, it is all steel, and fits the hand.
That's an Astra .25 acp next to it. Sure hope it proves out in this
incarnation. TACC1

I'm sure it's a well made, funtional gun, I did not mean to imply otherwise.]
