Default Looking for info on Sharps pepperbox derringers

I have acquired a pair of pepperbox ( 4 barrels ) 22lr derringers that I am trying to determine their authenticity.I would appreciate any info anyone has to offer. On the right side of the receiver, they read " C.Sharps & Co." and below that-"Philadelphia,Pa.". On the right side of the receiver below barrel, they are marked "22 LR Cal". On the left side of the receiver, they are marked " C. Sharps " and below that " Patent 1859 ". On the butt, the serial number and when you slide the barrels forward, the matching serial number again under the barrels. The grips have the serial numbers scratched on the inside of them that matches gun. Serial numbers are 3877 and 3887.Other than these, there are absolutely no other markings on the guns anywhere. No import marks. no dates, no nothing. To my understanding, Sharps made these derringers between 1859 and 1874 but I didn't think the 22 LR was invented until 1887, however I did find a first model Sharp in 22 LR that sold in 2006 on Gunsamerica. Both guns receivers appear to be brass and the barrels appear to be iron.Anyway, would appreciate any info anyone has to offer. They have the revolving firing pin, both shoot great and are really cool guns.

Thank you in advance and have a Blessed Evening

If yours are original they are the nicest examples I've ever seen. In the early 70's the Japs made a copy of Sharps. I had one such gun. It was a perfect copy, and quality was outstanding. It was listed in the Blue Book.
