Default Bersa Thunder .22?

Ammo is getting so expensive I was thinking about getting another .22 pistol. I've had S&W and Colt revolvers and Browning and Ruger autos and was wanting something a little different. The Walther and Sig .22s seem a little cheezy but the Bersa Thunder looks pretty good for not much money and Bersa seems to get good reviews on their .380 pistols, so was wondering if anyone here has any experience with a Thunder .22?

There's actually a Bersa forum. If you do a search you'll find it. There's a sub category there devoted to the .22. I am pretty sure the gun is all zinc alloy. Doesn't seem to be a problem. Does the gun come with a second mag? I found myself with no .22 so I bought a Ruger 22/45 I think it's called. 4" $249. the Bersa however could double as a carry gun.

I have a Firestorm that works with all brands of .22 ammo, even the cheaper bulk boxes.

The little Beretta 21 is also a ball to shoot, very reliable and rides very comfortably in a pocket in a Robert Mika holster.

The Bersa line of pistols, kinda reminds me of a moped. There a lot of fun, but you dont want anyone you know to see you riding it. Actually Bersa pistols generally get excellent reviews, and anyone Ive spoken too will agree. Almost weekly I look at a 45 Firestorm for CCW or a truck gun, and then I think about the snobs and what they will say when they see I purchased one. Its a shame, because I believe for the money, they cant be beat. Please dont put them in the same grouping as a Taurus, I dont believe they deserve that. Ever. Just my $.02.
