Hi Power Grips
Does anyone know a source for nice Hi Power grips. I don't need replacements - the ones on the Hi Power I am buying are mint. I wanted to do something custom.
Thanks,
Dale

Depends on how "custom" and how much you want to spend.
Hogue makes some nice grips without costing more than the gun. They may not have the panache or "upper crust" appeal of other grip makers, but they have some nice ones.

Hi-Power grips
I have the same kind as Sip does. I think I bought them through CDNN. I like them better than the originals, and they werre 26$ and change+ shipping.

Brownell's catalog has several styles. I have a set of Speigals on mine.

I bought a set of Herrett grips from CDNN last year to replace the ugly black plastic eyesores on my High Power (Mk III, I think), and highly recommend them, especially for the (very low) price. I think they were listed as fancy grain checkered cocobolo - mine are absolutely beautiful, and fit my hands to perfection. A vast improvement, both aesthetically and in functionality.

I like my Spegel delrins; completely functional and feel great. My BHP has the enamelled finish and these seem right for the gun. If it had a great blued finish I would want fancy grained wood.

I think Hogue makes a pretty good grip and they come in several different types of wood. These are rosewood:
Harrett's are a little thicker and have more bite in their checkering. Navidrex are very thin and flat. They come in black, white or "wood". These are the black, thin grips:
Spegel's are nearly as thin as the Navidrex but have some shape to them, a little palm swell if you will. VZ Grips make a couple types for the Hi Power. I haven't tried them however.

I hate to sound pedestrian, but...
For carrying, shooting and just plain knocking around, it's tough to beat a pair of Pachmayers....

I have Craig Spegel's grips on my Hi-Power and they are great. You can order them directly from Craig...or check out the Cylinder and Slide website, where you can also order them.

The Argentine and blue Browning are Herretts. The Silver Chrome grips are Navidrex (w/ palm swell).
They all feel a lot getter than factory wood or rubber.
