I do so adore my Dan Wesson CBob. Another CBob owner sent me an extra set of factory CBob handles with simply stunning grain and they now enhance my already handsome .45 Dan Wesson.
That meant that my (serial numbered to the gun) factory original grips were resting in the traditional "box o grips" that I think we all seem to have on a shelf somewhere.
I layed eyes on the www.M1911knife.com website and I knew I had found both the ultimate Dan Wesson 1911 accessory and the perfect solution for making good use of my original CBob handles:
The quality of the knife is superb and it matches the finish on my CBob perfectly! Any 1911 grips can be used, but I did find that Sarge's custom birdseye maple CBob grips were too wide to fit the knife.
The bobtailed grip exposes more of the lanyard hold which I think looks even better than the standard grips.
