Default How observant are you?

These two Styres look identical but, for a number of clear reasons, they're not. Can you identify the differences?
Thanks for looking,
Joe

First pic, slide stop looks different. Also, the magazine release (?) is very obvious in the bottom gun. Sticks out farther.

Second one, bottom gun appears to have a longer ejection port, although that could be camera angle. Rear sight looks taller on the top gun.

The thing that jumps in the third pic is the left guns grips don't fit as well, and there seems to be something written on the bottom of the right magazine.

The bottom of the backstrap in picture five is curved, while it is almost flat in pic four.

Question

You are correct in most of your picks but you missed the most obvious difference and if it had teeth it would bite you. A very serious collector of vest pockets missed it too!!

Default How observant are you?

Well, to start with, neither one is a "Styre".

One is from 1909 and a very high sheen (like the early 1903 Colt 32s and 380s) The other has a muted finish and dated 1914 like the later Colts without the high sheen finish. Qball was correct with the finish answer.
Thanks for your answers,
Joe

Joe,
Are you saying the slide stop/release and mag release are not different? Did you miss those?

Bill, you are correct they are different but most people miss the finish difference. I should of had pictures of the production dated on the slides and that may of helped identify the finish difference.

Well Joe you are not a professional photographer and the viewing size of the photos would probably prevent a pros photo finish difference lack contrast. So there were many correct replies. You play by your own rules, in this case no harm done or hurt feelings. Don't recommend you be running any serious contests. Do appreciate the interesting thread.
