I started with a few out the side Benchmades, the first being an auto mini-Rukus (6150) my wife got me Christmas '09 as I already had a regular & mini Rukus (610 & 615). You have to hold on when it opens - a lot of momentum in that big blade! Ultimately, I added a few more Benchmades. This summer she gave me my first OTF - a Microtech UltraTech double edge. It's a doble no-no - automatic and double edged. No matter, it's a homebody.
Oddly, for carry I prefer one hander/non-assisted knives.

It has been a few months since I have been to the ones on Beach Blvd or Ramona but they both had people selling them. I bought one years ago now and it still works. I keep thinking of buying another one. I'm pretty sure I have seen them at the Blanding Blvd and the Pecan Park flea markets as well but it has been a few years since I have been to either one. But while she is wandering looking at the female oriented stuff I'm at the tool or knife places.

Go to either of the 2 flea mkts on S Parrott in Okeechobee and you can buy all you want for under $10 each.

The " timing " noises when closing are always a grin. They're not legal to carry in Florida.

The auto knife is legal in Florida as long as you have a concealed carry permit. As long as the blade folds into the handle, it is legal. People are in the misconception of that rule. Spring knives, butterfly knives are not legal. If the blade comes out of the top, it is illegal. I would recommend the Florida Gun Law book but an attorney from Orlando. The book is used in seven police academies, and in most counties and supreme court. Well worth the $31.95 and free updates on his web site.
