Such a small collection of .22's??
Just kidding; quite an impressive collection! I guess if someone wants to buy you a gift, they'll know you can always use a few bricks of ammo!
I've got a bunch myself, but not nearly as many as your collection. Enjoy 'em!!

This is one of the new Savage-Stevens Favorite models, not a bad likeness of the original, and very accurate. I bought this one for my son when my wife was 3 months pregnant for him. He's 2 now so it will be a while before he gets to shoot it. It's nice though in case he's left handed, and it fits me so he can have it a long time.
This one is mine and was my grandfather's when he bought it in 1950. He claimed he killed more game with it than any other gun he ever owned. Since I have had it, I have shot squirrels, grouse, even a couple of beavers with it.

Wasn`t quite that bad. All the pics were already in photo bucket. Couldn`t get to sleep last night, so I decided to amuse myself.
I`m easily amused.

My favorite Ruger 10/22... no longer has the reflex sight, switched to a genuine 1928 Thompson rear sight.

I`ve heard of those "Thompson" kits for the 10/22, but never saw one before.
Is it much trouble to put it all togather?

Easy as can be... just a few bolt-on parts. Takes maybe all of 10 minutes. I also changed the barrel for a finned one, added an original Thompson Cutts Compensator and fitted a standard Ruger 10/22 magazine inside the shell from an Airsoft Thompson magazine. Turned out pretty well.

They make 50 round drums for the 10/22 now. Don`t look quite like a Thompson drum, but similar. No idea how well they work.
Where did you get the finned barrel?
Probably would not be hard to make one out of a .920 diameter barrel. My dad has a good little lathe I could use for the job, but if you can buy em reasonable, why bother.
Always kind of wanted one of the Auto Ordnance rimfire Thompsons, but they are hard to find as well as high priced.
Now I`m going to break my own rimfire rule and post the pics below.
Not as much fun as a full auto, but these semi Thompsons are still a blast to shoot.

The barrel came from Green Mountain... it just looked right.
Yes, I've seen some of the 50rd magazines for a 10/22. The teardrop version looks as though it would fit inside the Airsoft drum magazine shell. Unfortunately I live in the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia where such things are a bit of a no-no. All I'd need is some rookie cop on a crusade to rid the state of those evil high capacity magazines.
Would love one of the Auto-Ordnance versions but the sure don't come cheap when you can actually find one. The gussied up Ruger will work just fine for my purpose.

Hi Standard Double Nine
Colt's Frontier Scout
Urberti Stallion
I'm not sure what this one is. I've had it for a long time, my wife bought it for me when I graduated college and it's had a zillion rounds down the barrel. Made in West Germany.

Those tear drop mag work if you can keep them clean. And I mean really clean. And 22s are anything but clean. Don`t know what powder is used in rimfire ammo, but clean burning it isn`t.
Someone has round drum mags out for the 10/22, but I`ve yet to run across anyone who has one to find out how well they work.
Just did a search on gun broker for a rimfire Auto Ordnance. None there. Just as well. Probably couldn`t afford it if I found one.
Last one I ran across was about 5 years ago at a gun show. They wanted a very healthy price for it even back then. And at the time I had just bought a larger house, so my bank account was on life support at the time.
Should have known starting this thread wasn`t a good idea. Everyone has been posting some really nice 22s making me wish I could afford a batch of new guns. (when I really ought to be paying down the mortgage)
Maybe I`ll go buy me a lottery ticket.
