Supposidly..this handgun was purchased by the prime suspect in this horrendus murder..and the same kid is pretty much nailed as prime suspect in his girlfriends murder/dissapearance.
The gun itself..I've read online..is a Baltimore police trade in..apparently Baltimore had shell casings on file from the gun...these casings matched casings from the scene of the Weleetka murders..and casings found on the prime suspect's father's property near the homicide scene(and where burned human fragments were found on same property)
The investigators have pretty much concluded the pistol was sold at a gunshow in Tulsa..They've tracked it to the guy..know he's owned the gun..have shell casings matched to the gun..have suspect statements that are pretty much confessions...but still have not tracked down the pistol.
So if you've purchased a used G22 at a Tulsa gunshow..or any used G22 in the last three years or so..check the serial numbers..you may have a piece of evidence the OSBI wants to the tune of $5000..which will buy many used G22 pistols or other cool stuff.

Thanks, that's a good idea. Being from OK myself, I don't really have the words to describe what I think about these murders.

I saw the story and it really touched a nerve. Being a member of many shooting forums, I figured the more eyes from the shooting community on this story the better since this G22 could really be anywhere at this point. I really hope these kids get some justice.

Geeze, when I first read the title I thought it was just a mis-type. Figured it should have read "$5,000 reward for 22 Glocks."

He was, correct. They're still looking for the G22 as part of the evidence.
