Wink

I used to own a bunch of them, they were OK, but got rid of them when I got into collecting Taurus revolvers...

I had a four-inch Korth .357 maybe six years ago. I bought it from a local guy for $1000. I sold it for $3500 on Gun Broker and bought S&Ws. There is NOTHING special about Korth revolvers beyond outrageous prices.

That is not quit so. They are extremley well made. But becouse of that if there is a tiny piece of dirt in the system it dousn't work well.

I woulden't use it as my service revolver where my life depent's on it.

Would I wanna have one. Hoo Yehaaaaaa.

Honestly, in handling mine for a couple of months, I found nothing about it that made it even slightly more desireable than a Python, 586, etc. The blue was very very nice. The sights were well thought out and tough. The thing locked up ALMOST as well as a "new" model 586. It was, in all, a very nice gun for $500. It's NOT, regardless of auction history, worth $3k. I made enough profit on my sale to get me firmly stuck in the S&W fever.

I had one in 357 Mag in the late 70s to early 80s. It was very well made, but, IMHO, my Pythons were every bit as well made, as smooth or smoother, and a bit more accurate. Don't get me wrong, I liked the gun, but not at the price, and I sold it to a guy that had to have the most expensive guns, cars, etc. I don't believe he ever shot it, just as he never drove the GT-500 I sold him (actually, he drove it once, scared himself, and parked it for several years, went back to Porsches, which, while they were fine cars, don't have the power of the Shelby, and are much easier to drive in a somewhat enthusiastic manner). He did the same thing with a 427 Cobra, even left it at a buddy's shop (a Cobra expert who was the SCCA B Production national champion for two or three consecutive years in his 289 Cobra). I was at his shop one day, and he asked if I would drive that the Cobra back to the owner's home, as he just didn't have room to store it, I lived near the owner, and I used to race one in A Production, and he knew I could handle the car. He had been trying to get the owner to pick up the car for over a year. When I arrived at his home, his face went ash white, he was that scared of the car. The Korth, Cobra and Shelby all served a purpose for him, though, as conversation pieces and for bragging rights.

bought a 4" .357 about 6 years ago ( one of those "got-a-have it" impulse moments) from a fellow revolver nut. Beautiful revolver; but for the money a status thing only. My old Pythons and 686 as well as my new 586 are,IMHO, every bit as good.

Hello,

I have two Korth. A 357 Magnum with a 6" barrel and another 357 Magnum with a 3" barrel and two cylinders in 9mm.
The cylinder can be easily removed on Korth revolvers and therefore I can shoot 9mm cartridges with a 357 Magnum. However, I prefer to shoot the 38 Special or the 357 Magnum.
The trigger is very smooth, the sights are easy to adjust, the revolver is very light, there is almost no recoil in 38 special, the accuracy is outstanding in my opinion.
I shoot them every week and really enjoy it.
I paid around $2,500 for each one. Difficult to say if it is worth the price... If I had two sport cars it would cost me much more so...
Life is short!

..........but I digress.
