Went to a local gun show today. Not much in the way of firearms. I was amazed to find a small reloading vendor with some retail common sense. His prices weren't any higher or lower than the places I normally go to. I purchased 1K small pistol magnum primers & 1lb jug of 2400. It was convenient.
From another table:
.45 ACP nickel plated brass, mixed headstamp, fully processed, machine inspected for cracks, all large pistol primer pocket. 1K for $50. They're nice and polished shiny inside & out, primer pockets are cleaned out. I couldn't walk away.
The closest I could find on the internet is $60 + shipping for mixed head stamp, mixed primer size, cleaned but not fully processed. I think I got a decent deal today.

Bought a Savage MKII BV, bolt action .22 rifle and a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire 4X32 scope for it last week.
By the way, my Savage .223 Remington, left hand bolt action, that I bought a couple of weeks ago, is a tack driver. The MKII BV is supposed to be also.

Wanted a holster for winter carry instead of the hip-grips I used all summer. I'm planning on switching grips in another month or so and using the holster till spring. Last year I had bought a pancake off El Paso Saddlery for my Ruger. I paid like $80 and waited six weeks only to realize when I received it that it didn't fit my .357 Montado very well. They stood behind it and after returning it and waiting another two weeks or so I received a fine holster. I've been very pleased with it.
So when I saw this pancake for my new S&W on eBay for $25 I thought, it must be made in China. Nope! Made in the U.S.A.! I'm sold.
Came in the mail today and it's perfect! I was ready to shell out stupid money all over again, glad I waited. Stitching looks professional, leather is thick and molded to fit my revolver. Doesn't have the 'tension screw' the El Paso has but it doesn't seem to do all that much on the one I have so no loss. Gun fits very snug in the holster. They make holsters for many models of guns. I highly recommend checking them out and saving a few bucks.
Home. American Pride Leather Company, Gun Holsters and Leather Products
I also recently bought the T-grips. They make since with the hip-grips and feel good. I was surprised how secure I was able to get it, though it took some effort.

My last purchase was a CMMG Wasp upper in 22 lr for an AR lower DPMS I built. I've found being cheap as I am that I shoot it much more now than my 5.56 ARs. Functions 100% using CCI AR Tactical ammo BTW. Some other ammo was spotty at best.

Just had my LGS order me a big loop lever from Marlin for my 336 CS. Marlin wouldn't sell me one straight up so I had him use his magical FFL powers to get it for me. $86 out the door (well, when it gets here). Heck of a lot cheaper than the $150 for the Wild West Big Loop lever.
Tapatalk ate my spelling and grammar.

I bought a model 62 Winchester pump .22. Fairly good condition for a rifle manufactured in 1935. Except someone drilled four holes in the barrel to put on a side mount scope. At least the price was in line for the screw holes in the barrel.

Well, it's a little embarrassing. I ordered, and anxiously waited for my fairly expensive yoke allignment tool & allignment wedge, so that I could finally get my revolvers in perfect allignment. I wouldn't call it a waste of money, but all of them were in perfect allignment already. I was all hyped up to do some meaningful tweaking, and just ended up tossing my new tools into my tool box. As Abraham Lincoln once said, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

It made loading this magazine so simple you could actually do it without even looking.
It took about two minutes and my fingers feel just fine, what a great accessory. I use one with my pistols but until today where I had to take my rifle with no loaded magazines until actually at the range. It is also very fast at unloading your magazines.
This is one of the best accessories I have bought in a long time it will now reside in the gun case pocket except when I need to use it! Very happy about having this neat little tool!

Just bought a Savage-Stevens Model 311D, 16 gauge SxS from a friend that needed some money for an anniversary gift for his wife.
My dad wants it, and I'm thinking about selling to him, since he already has another 16 gauge, and I really wanted a 12. Mainly bought it to help the friend out anyway.

Yesterday I traded a 1937 K98, that's been taking up safe space, for an early Model 41 with a 7" barrel. . I traded something I will use for something I didn't use . .

The most recent gun related purchase made by me was 500 rounds of Tula .45 ACP 230 gr. FMJ's and a very nice virtually new pair of N-frame target grips for my 4" 28-2.

I guess I am at the bottom of the totom pole for fire power, I'm still buying muzzleloaders and old lever guns. But my one shot on target is still better than the black gun spray and pray.
