First time in months I went to the LGS intending to ask about primer prices (still 8 cents per). Lo and behold in the display case was a 6" Colt Anaconda under MSRP. I left to do a little online research, then returned a couple of hours later and put down my CC.
Haven't fired it yet but the DA on this revolver is silky smooth and surprisingly light (to me). SA let off, a little heavy but this gun hasn't been through the 1000 trigger pulls either.
Have to say I haven't found much forum content on these, even at Colt Forum.

S&W 9mm Shield EZ....
Got if for my wife, who can handle a revolver but slides are too much for her. She shoots it well.
PS: See my post under M&P pistols for the time I had getting the mags to work right.
PPS: After 'adjustments' I pronounce it a 'good gun'.

I got a Taurus G-3. Never owned a Taurus semi before, and since (1) this one was NIB, but on sale, and (2) I had a couple of gun store gift cards that dropped the price even more, I figured "why not?" Let's see how it does.
About the size and weight of a Glock 19, so far it's been pretty impressive. Only 100 rounds through it, but it worked just fine. Nothing special, just another polymer frame, mid size, 9mm, striker fired semi, but I think I'm going to like it.
Sorry, it was sort of dirty when I took the pictures.

Alte Schweizer Pistole Parabellum
I blame my nephew for this. He brought this to my attention. I couldn't help myself! Striker fired pistols seem to be all the rage.
Everything matches. The bore is excellent. It has Swiss Cross and the acceptance mark of Colonel Mühlemann. Beyond that, I don't know much else about it except a "P" stamp and was "privatized" at some point in its history. Alas, of all the obsolete cartridges on hand 7.65 Parabellum is not one of them.

A Vortex Venom red dot and EGW mount plate for my CZ 75B. Its been too snowy to do much shooting, but so far I like it, though a red dot does take some getting used to.

I've always wanted a p38... I bit the bullet and picked up a late p1 in decent shape... and my gunsmith buddy twisted my arm into buying two remington model 10s, ones been bubba'd so will likely become some semblance of a trench gun...

Finally had to go to the big city for a medical appointment and made a quick trip by my favorite shop to pick up a couple vintage 22s they were holding for me. I buy them on auction but can pick them up so no shipping or added FFL costs.
First is a Montgomery Wards "Westernfield" model 854 (Mossberg 380) that is near mint.
The other is a Glenfield 70 that belonged to the Bobby Unser estate. It will go well with my Glenfield 60s.

New Wilson Combat sights for the big snake. Huge upgrade..
It is shameful that Colt put such poor factory rear sights on such cool guns.

I went to the Cabelas in Post Falls Saturday and picked up a couple.
A 4" S&W 10-6 with some holster wear at the muzzle and on the edges, but mechanically sound - $325 OTD including taxes and transfer.
A 3" Rossi M33 that looked almost brand new - $265 OTD including taxes and transfer.
Both are in "BGC jail" for the next couple of weeks, so no pictures for now.
So I have two MORE 38's to add to my eclectic little collection.

A Gen 3 PA10 stripped lower (soon to be unConstitutionally designated as a so-called "assault weapon" ) to reassemble a back-up for my 308.
Cheers!
P.S. I obviously ascribe to the "just in time" philosophy re: project management...

This week I picked up a 60-7 LS and 640 no dash at the Vegas Bass Pro, and an El Paso Saddlery holster for the Detective Special at Emmalee’s Gun Emporium. Still 3 days left this week to shop.

TISAS 1911A1 SERVICE SPECIAL
Finally pulled the trigger, so to speak, on one of the TISAS 1911 A1 clones. Gotta tell ya, for $360 including tax and shipping, it's pretty impressive (the photo doesn't do justice). I really like the grey Cerakote, the combat hammer and the sights that are a bit more visible than standard milspec. The plastic grips were replaced with rosewood, and I don't foresee any additional mods soon. Can't wait to get it to the range.

I just bought a Rock Island BBR 3.10 in 9mm. Sadly, it came with only 1 magazine which limits it's usefulness as a defensive weapon here in the Seattle area. Currently disassembled for some polishing and smoothing, round butting the frame and redoing the soft checkering on the front strap. I also serrated the trigger guard front as the little thing doesn't have much room for all of my fingers. I did an EGW guide rod with a flat spring, and sent the slide to Green Tick Tactical of one of their AWESOME slide cuts for my green dot Holosun. A side note - GTT's cuts are so good that you have to carefully align your optic when installing as the cut is an EXACT fit. Once done with all the filing and cutting, I will ceracoat the slide and frame. Gonna be a cool little shooter.

I have not bought too much of late in terms of actual Firearms. I did pick up some 1980's Gun magazines from eBay. I like reading the old articles and seeing the retro advertisements.
My 2012 Streamlight Stylus Pro Torch (aka Flashlight) had "gave up the ghost". The batteries inside had partly corroded and I had a lot of difficulty getting the cap off. I sent it to the Official Streamlight Service Centre here in Australia. I just wanted to see if they could repair it (I had also sent them a busted activation switch from my TLR1 HR). Instead of just cleaning it up, they sent me a new one; No questions asked. A surprise to me considering I was at fault for not checking the batteries periodically. Great service.

I bought another Advantage Arms .22 LR conversion kit for the generation 2 & 3 Glock 17/22/31 models. I fired 100 cartridges through it and got two misfires, one stove pipe, and one failure to feed. The two misfires were reloaded and attempted twice more before each one fired, and the other two issues occurred behind those two rounds.

Yes the have. I'm up to around 400 rounds through it, and have yet to have any kind of bobble from it. It just chugs along with any kind of ammo I've tried. Mostly Blazer Brass, FMJ, but a bit of PMC 115 grain HP, and a couple hundred of my reloads too.''
It's a "T.O.R.O." model, something that I didn't mention earlier, because it didn't mean anything to me. I knew it meant it was "optic ready" and came with four mounting plates for different optics but that was about it. I wasn't going to mount any kind of optics on it. Just more stuff in the box.
Then Ruger released their new "Ruger Ready Dot" sight. No batteries, and according to them, no sighting in required..it doesn't even have any adjustments. It uses fiber optic technology rather than an LED at a MSRP of $99.00. You just screw it on and it's ready to go.
I thought it sounded interesting. I've tried a couple of red dots over the years but never really fell in love with them. This one sounds simple enough that maybe even I can work it and since the G3 is optic ready, why not? My eyes ain't getting any better. Bud's had them listed for $69.00, so I've got one on the way. Maybe this old dog can learn a new trick.

I picked up a stainless Colt Competition .38 Super from a member of my sportsman’s club. I’d been looking for another .38 Super, but they’ve been hard to find. This gun is like new and came with a bunch of extra brand new magazines.

Added one I’d been after awhile to the stable- a 1940 Walther “Zero” series P38. In about 80% condition, so not a museum grade gun, but all orig and honest.

A CMMG Resolute AR-15 complete 20" upper in 6mm ARC. Shoots great and seems fine: no serious range work yet.

I bought a Rock Island 1911, 5" 9mm with a extra barrel in 22TCM. but my prize for working my last job should arrive Monday. A C Sharps in 45-90 with a 30" barrel.
I already have 405gr and a 500gr molds and my 45-90 brass has arrived as well as a extra set 0f 45-70 dies to use on the 45-90
Just a moment...

Bought the same gun about three years ago...one of the most "complete" guns Colt ever made...ready to run right out of the box. Put an arched MSH to replace the flat but otherwise was good to go...
Had a 9x23 Winchester barrel that Colt marketed back 20 years ago...dropped right in and with the addition of 24# recoil spring runs great. One of these days I'll put in a 9mm barrel...three calibers in one...
