Mines a dash 1 too. Love the banana grips, but I couldn't find a set of Smith's. Had Ahrends make me a couple pair a few years ago.

I've taken a major swing back into revolvers and have recently bought a 66-4 snub, a 19-7 snub and a 640 Pro.
The 19 and 640 are still inbound to my FFL, but will post a group pic once I get them all situated with new grips and wipe them down, ha!

I've been looking for a really accurate .22 to go along with my .45 and try to get back into Bullseye shooting at my clubs Winter League. Did a bunch of reading and decided on a Nelson conversion for my blue printed RIA Target frame that has had much trigger work done. Ordered in July '23, delivered in January of '24. It is supremely accurate and an easy X ring holder at 25 yards. Really builds confidence when you know the only mistake is yours.

Gun show was in town today. I took a Ruger 22/45 MkIII to sell; box, both magazines and manual, got $295 for it. I was looking mainly for a couple of leather holsters for my Uberti SA's, but only one table in the show had a leathersmith who made holsters. I got his card, he showed me what he can make and it's what I want. Reasonable $$, too.

On the way out, I saw a Ruger MkII Target pistol with 7" barrel (the stainless flat-sided barrel .22LR) Had all the stuff with it. Got to talking to the seller, mentioned I liked it but would rather have the Hunter. He reached under the table and pulled one out. Box, magazines, manual, tools, $600. It's a MkIII and looked brand new, but close inspection showed a dirty breech. I took it anyway, it functioned just fine. Got it home, disassembled and cleaned it thoroughly. It was easier to take apart and reassemble than the 5" 22/45 I had sold.

I also saw (and wish I'd had the $$$ for) a S&W .38/44 HD 5 screw. Original box, gun didn't even have a turn line it was so nice, Tools and paperwork too. $1600.

I bought a new receiver for a 10/22 for under $ 200. I have a barrel and stock so I'm good to go with this build. The receiver comes complete with bolt, trigger and V-Block with all the pins.

It will make an easy and fun project. Lets see how long I can keep it stock.

Let’s see… got a set of Tru-Glo TFO sights for the Glock 17 .

A S&W M&P 40. Got it from Aim Surplus for $249. It’s a LE trade in. Came with night sights so I couldn’t pass it up.

Picked up a Shield Plus in 9mm Thursday. Right nice pistol it is.

Getting to where I really prefer the M&P line over the Glock.

I bought some of these rifle socks. Never tried them before. I got them to protect the stocks on a few rifles. My safes are running out of room, and I need to lean a few against each other.

I've never had a problem with rust in any of my safes ever, but they claim to prevent rust. I really hope they wouldn't cause it.

Any of y'all use these? Have good luck with them?

I picked up this Model 41 last month and after she shot it, my wife wants to get one with a longer 7" barrel for herself.

I believe since my last post I’ve purchased the following:

Glock 43, 2 Strike Industries +2 mag extensions for Glock 43, Crossbreed IWB for Glock 43 and Hogue Wrapter grip for Glock 43.

Also purchased a S&W 940, 10 5-round moon clips from Revolver Supply, and am working on purchasing a Galco King Tuk holster for S&W 940.

Update: won my bid on the like new Galco King Tuk holster; $55 shipped . New price was $124 + shipping.

You got a good deal on that 940. I must have looked at it 20 times. The only thing stopping me was that I have a ND, but if that were a -1 I would have scooped it up.
Enjoy that 940.

Thanks ladder13. I looked at it a couple of times and decided that it was too good of a deal to pass up! Was surprised that no one else jumped on it!

I have a variety of .22 pistols and rifles that are threaded for cans.

I already had one Mask, this is a second so I can shoot quietly with my wife, a friend, whatever, without earpro.

My latest purchase is a .357 Combat Magnum. To me, the interesting thing is that I owned this gun once before.
A few years ago I needed some money for a house remodel and sold some guns. This was one of them. I sold it at a gun show in North Texas.
I got the gun from my father's estate after his death. He always called the gun a four screw Model 19. So that is what I thought I sold.
Some years later I found a box for a .357 Combat Magnum. I posted a question on the Forum asking the age of the box. The box dated to 1956 based on the serial number on the bottom.
Next I get a PM from a member in Alabama saying he owns the gun with that serial number and would like to have the box. I sent it to him.
A couple of years after that I found a list of my dad's personal guns. On the list is S&W 19 .357 Mag 4 inch blue # K261xxx. Well, that is not a Model 19. It is the Combat Magnum that resides in Alabama.
I contacted the guy in Alabama to tell him the story of why I had the box that matched his gun. He offered to sell the gun and the box back to me. The gun and the box were never together that I can remember. Think my dad probably forgot he had the box.
I'll bet the chances of selling a gun and later finding it again are pretty low.

Bought another SIG.
I seem to have a case of SIG-iness.
Bought a 365 X Macro. Really like it!
Pondered a smaller one.
The 365 just seemed to have too small a grip.
Finally settled in the 365 X. Short barrel with longer grip, 12 round mag.
And the mags are backwards compatible. The 17 round mags work in the 365x.
Probably won’t buy any more 12 round mags.
Maybe one or two more 17s.

Bought a AR stand from someone who makes them on the AK Files forum. I've seen the plastic ones that use a Magpul magazine, but like the metal better. I might go over the welds with some JB Weld before painting it.

I also bought my 6th and first Colt LE6920 AR Saturday night.

Browning Safari grade 243. This was made by Sako in 1962. It has a medium heavy barrel (rare as most were pencil barrels) and was unfired. I grabbed some varmint loads for another 243 just to get it on paper and three rounds just about cut holes. Load development isn't going to be hard.

Got stupid at the...pawn shop today. He had a Dillon 550 that I am certain had been mine. Lent it to a friend to use. Friend passed last year...or a little more ago. His heirs sold all of the shooting stuff including my 550C. Well he had the press in the shop. He sold me all the Dillon items he had incuding 4 Caliber Conversions with dies 2 extra sets of RCBS carbide pistol dies and a bunch of extra parts...along with a few hundred LRPs and an included 3 1/2 pounds of very hard to find Dupont 4759 powder. When I sell all the extra stuff I'll be real close to getting my own press back for about free. Karma I guess. I think I'll have to put a new powder measure reservoir on though. Has some Bullseye still in it?Otherwise still in exc condition

Picked up a Bangor Punta M65 box for $10 today. I think it's a little earlier than my 1980 M65, and certainly not the original, but nice to have.

In the last few weeks I’ve bought a new Colt King Cobra 22 4.25”, a Smith 63 no dash and a Smith model 17-6 4” with no under lug. No I need some nice weather to play with them.

Don’t have pix of the63 or King Cobra but here’s the 17-6. It in overall nice condition with original stocks. The finish has a few fine scratches and not a show piece but looks pretty nice.

Picked up a very nice M17-6 4" from a forum member.

It will make a very nice .22 "trainer" companion to my Smolt...

I am at a stage where I don't think there are too many other guns I would want that I could afford, but I still peruse an auction site that I have dealt with for years. There it was, a Model 41 with the long barrel and muzzle break AND the mount for an optical sight. So on a whim I put in a low ball bid, not seriously thinking that somebody else wouldn't blow my bid away. Somebody else did bid, but didn't come near my maximum bid. And that was it. Nobody else even tried to beat my lowball bid and I GOT IT. I have never seen the dark walnut grips before on a Model 41. I just hope my pictures do it justice. Somebody really cared for this gun because when I ran a patch down the bore the patch was immaculate. I put a green dot optical sight to put on it and I am ready to go.
Back on page 116 in post #5762 I told about how I acquired a Model 41 with a factory muzzle brake that had been set up for an optical sight. I have since put a green dot sight on it and have been out practicing with it.

Initially, even though the barrel looked pristine, I was getting around 40% failures to eject, with jams with the fresh cartridge tieing up the gun. I was getting concerned that I might have bought a very expensive paperweight. But then I came across some advice of using a .25 bronze brush to be able to fully scrub out the chamber. I picked up a .25 bronze brush and proceeded to really scrub out the barrel from muzzle to slide face.

After I scrubbed the barrel and mopped it out, I started taking the gun out again. The rate of failures to eject dropped to almost nothing, with no serious jamming. With one brand of ammunition there were no failures to eject. And now I'm finding that with this gun my scores are coming up to the point where I'm seriously thinking about using this gun as my primary gun for when the .22 league starts. Sometimes you get lucky.

Things have been a bit "tight" year since my Police Income Protection expired. So I'm now down to my Workers Compensation pension. (Don't worry, I still have savings squirreled away elsewhere. Just trying not to spend it).

Anyway, I recently picked up these few items from on-line sales:-

* History of Smith & Wesson by Roy G. Jinks - $25 AUD on eBay ($16.40 USD at the time of this conversion)
* Beretta 85 .380 Magazine
* S&W 4506 Straight Grips - NOS - $45 AUD ($29.40 USD) - On-line.
* S&W K Frame Grips - Modified - $45 AUD.

I'm the new guy. Recently acquired a 66-2, 2.5".
It came with a BUNCH of stocks; the original Magnas are a bit tatty but intact, some black plastic checkered stocks, some SW walnut stocks and a cast aluminum T grip from Robertsons and a black BK grip adapter. All along with the Hogue mono that is pictured.
It has some character marks, and someone lightly pried the sideplate off (argh).
All in all, I did pretty good for a take home of $525.
Looking forward to hanging out here
-Nate

Picked up this CZ 75 D PCR from Palmetto. When I 1st got into hammer fired DA/SA guns (w/ a decocker, specifically) years ago, this CZ is what I really wanted, but at the time they were like hens teeth. I’ve had Sigs since, no complaints.

Saw PSA had these for $550 so I jumped on it. Factory trigger on this example is GOD AWFUL haha. Good thing is I’ve wrenched on 75s before. Nothing that some CGW springs, parts and a little polishing can’t fix. Ordered some new grips too. She should be polished up shortly

I picked up this nice Randall 1-8 from a fellow forum member. Looks to my untrained eye to be from the late 70's-early 80's. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I also just picked up a basic 1974 Ruger 10-22. I will post a picture when I get home from work.

1000 CCI 500 small pistol primers, from Midway. They were running a no hazmat sale last week. Maybe not as good a price as my LGS (who only sells two boxes at a time), reasonable, and the LGS didn't have CCI, anyway.

Picked up this Super Wrangler for plinking and vermin. My first cartridge handgun was a single action .22 Mag so I'm looking forward to pairing this with my bull barrel Savage 93 for woods walking.

Where'd you find the LRPs and what kind of price did you have to pay?

I've been waiting for them to get down to $70-$80 a brick like all the others, but LRPs don't seem to be coming down, and they are still in super short supply.
At some point their availability has to improve - which will bring the price down. Unless it takes so long that inflation keeps the price in the stratosphere. Sadly the days of 2-3 cent primers are gone for good.
Fortunately I only have one rifle that uses them, and I've managed to pick up about 2000 or so (a couple hundred here, a couple hundred there) for an average of about 7-8 cents apiece.
