I picked up my permit at the PD (sigh...) then stopped by my favorite LGS to pick it up. I spotted this one (was put out
this past Saturday) and checked it out. No magazine, but the reason it was consigned for "parts" is because the trigger would not work at all, with or without magazine inserted. I looked at it carefully then on a hunch I bought the pistol. AFTER it was paid for I borrowed the smallest Allen wrench they had and backed out a screw that was blocking the rear of the trigger (you can see the d&t hole under the trigger guard)...voila! the trigger works!
The icing on the cake was the 3 Model 41 mags they consigned separately for $15 each. Total was just under a C-note, tax included.

My CMMG dedicated 22 AR transformation is complete.
Still using the original lower, buffer tube, bolt assembly, handguards, and barrel.

I just picked up a Remington V3 Tac13. I’ve been looking for one for awhile and picked up a NIB one locally with a bunch of goodies to go along with it. Haven’t shot it yet, but soon…

Two Sig Romeo5 red dots. One used to swap out the open reflex Sightron on my 617-6. Second waiting to find a home.
Waited four weeks to get this on backorder from an online retailer. I won't mention the name, but doubt I'll buy from them again. Seems they charged my credit card the day I ordered, so now I end up paying interest on an account I usually zero out every month.

Went to the CGCA collector gun show in Colorado last weekend and found another Remington handgun. This is a Model 1891 single shot target pistol, but not just any Model 1891. It was reworked by Harry Pope with a Pope left hand twist barrel, chambered in .22 Short. Also has a lightened hammer, overtravel set trigger, and is threaded for a suppressor for indoor gallery match shooting.
In March I was fortunate to pick up another rare 1891 done by Arthur Hubalek, Pope's apprentice. So finding this one done by what many consider the finest barrel maker in the 20th century was exciting.
Pope above, and my Hubalek below.

Pictures soon. A Remington-Rand 1911A1 from DCM. When I picked that up I spotted a Springfield M-1903 which came home with the .45

Went to a small local show last weekend and took my near mint nickel M37 with the thought of trading it. I ran into a friend that swaps and traded to expand his collection and he had an unfired 1953 Colt Cobra. My M37 was calling his name and his Cobra was calling mine so we both walked away happy.

I put a 4" Blue Python on layaway yesterday. I was pretty impressed with it. They bought out four for me to look at. I picked this one for no particular reason.
Not a great picture. The camera really brings out the packing oil that's all over it. It will clean up with a little Ren Wax.

Filled out the paperwork today on a Model 60 Ladysmith from an auction site. Can't take possession until Monday. It is a project and I will post before and after pics when it is complete.

Got this on GB. Sig P226 'short' - made in Germany by their Custom Shop prior to their closure. Intended for the US market but never quite got here.
Several styles are now out on GB.

Ruger LCR .22.
I wanted a .22 practice snub, and the price was fair...for the times.

I picked up a like new Winchester model 1907 SL the other day.
This particular gun dates to 1919. I have dies ammo and brass for it and have test fired it. The price was good as well. I am pretty pumped.

I saw this a few weeks ago in my LGS. I was back in there today and commented about it still being there and told him I’ll hold out for a price reduction. He shot me a nice price and it went home with me. I already own a Government MKII but was looking for a MKII lower to pair with a TacSol or Volquartson upper.

Brand new? If so, that’s a deal and a half, I see them going for 600+.
Saw one live, and in person, about a month ago, beautiful gun.
Sort of downsizing and having loads of 1911’s, I passed.

Yup, $479 brand new. Tombstone Tactical... There are a couple of online outlets even cheaper, but I was able to pick it up in person at TT while we were driving through Phoenix on Saturday and avoid shipping.
Just a moment...
I was considering a .45 version (which are running ~$550), but I already have several 1911s in .45 and wanted to eventually use this one with my 9mm suppressor.

I have 2 pairs of Grashorn grips that I ordered from them many years ago that are fantastic. I assume he does grips for pre-war guns too. I tried getting some made from another source, but unfortunately he isn’t available currently.

The wait seems to be around 12 hours.
In all seriousness, I got exceptionally lucky. Last week I placed an “order” on the website to get on the waiting list, and I received an e-mail the next morning with a photo of these grips, asking if I wanted them. When I called to pay I learned they had just finished a batch, so I was at the right place at the right time.

Just picked up an unfired 2nd Gen Colt 1862 Pocket Navy.
Not sure why; I’m not into black powder so I probably will never shoot it, but it is just so dern pretty.
Sounds kinda like how I ended up married…

On Saturday, May 4th, I walked to the range and had a nice time shooting various handguns. Afterward, I was standing near the front of the store. In walked a man wanting to sell guns. I bought a little Colt Woodsman 4 1/2 Sport Model, ca. 1948. $250 OTD. Had to borrow $20 from my CFO. Paid it back yesterday. One of those "no interest" loans. It is an extremely accurate shooting pistol!!! Sincerely. bruce.

Picked up a new in box 2013 S&W M&P15 811000 a couple of weeks back that I found while looking around online, trying to find a S&W Sport II to replace one I had sold several years ago.

I purchased a Lipsey's 432UC and built a 8" New Frontier 9mm PCC with a side charger and last rd. hold open. It takes Glock mags. I put a Holosun red dot on it with magpul flip-up back up sights. That thing is just a kick in the butt.

Nice to see Patrick and Co are alive and well. I think I have a pair for my Python on order but haven’t hear from him in about a year.

A mint set of Coltwood grips for a 1968 LW Commander I’ve owned for 22 years. Got them for a song and unlike many sets, they didn’t shrink- so they fit.
