Newest build, Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite with Volquartsen LLV 6 inch barrel, VQ internals, Tandemkross Victory Trigger and Halo Bolt Rackers, C-More Railway Sight with 6 minute Dot, VQ Compensator.
And it shoots well too. I'm going to try it with an old scope that I have to see if I can get better groups.

Dutch Model 95 Infantrie Long Rifle 6.5x53R.
A little rough around the edges and missing the clearing rod,,but not bad. Goes bang and hits the 100m target in a quick range test in 5* weather.
More fun when spring comes.,,,Maybe the bore will get shinier by then too.
Savage 219 single shot break open rifle 22Hornet. Doesn't work, won't close. Multiple Weaver N mount D&T holes in the side of the bbl.
First model, (striker fired) (which is what I was looking for).
Want to restock, rework frame to elliminate the side scallope look, engrave , checker, add scope mounts and a nice 3/4 or 7/8"d scope. Something like the one John Madole did some years ago. His work always caught my attention.

My latest purchase
It was a Fobus Evolution Paddle Holster for my SD9VE that the wife and kids got me for Christmas. Loving it so far, have a good gun belt for support and if wearing a longer shirt it hides well. 20180108_154040.jpg

No. 17
I just received my latest Korth. This one is a 36 series rimfire revolver, made in 1986 in Ratzeburg, the old fashioned way. I will take it to the range for a test tomorrow and check it out. It has the target micrometer rear sights and patridge front sight that should help with the sight picture.

Maybe I missed it. What distance were you shooting and did you measure the group sizes?

And was this rested or offhand...?
Details matter when others are thinking "Can I do that well with mine?"

Last Gun purchase
Here's my last gun purchase. A Weihrauch #HW100S FSB .177 Cal. Air Rifle. I bought it in 2015, It cost more than any other gun, that I own. Then I added an Air tank, filling accessories, mounts, special Air Rifle, rated Scope, and a lot of related accessories, Used two fillings of air in it's built in tank, that winter, and haven't shot it since. How is that for a waste? Old age sneaks up on us all.

That is a very nice set up. I have a number of air guns that I shoot occasionally. Most are CO2. No PCP yet. PCP guns are really gaining popularity in the US. I bet you would have no trouble selling if you wanted to.

Distance is 25 yards from a rest. I did not measure the groups but they look pretty tight to me. I'll have to do it again and bring a ruler.

Sauer & Sohn 38H has landed - seen here with new grips to preserve to originals.
Not fired yet - but have cleaned and am checking action before dropping anything that goes "Bang" in it.

Last month I finally got my dream gun which is a model 627 in 357 which is a PC model revolver with a 8 shot cylinder in it. I put new KDS Grips on it and the gun is done is stainless finish. Only took 8 years of saving for this one but its worth it.

..........another HK 45c...which makes two now...since I haven't found a Shorty 45 that I could afford this is the next best option...especially at the price I scored it for......if S&W decided to make a 4th. Gen. 4513.....this would be IT

Prices are too dang low. I cannot resist. I've been thinking about this Florida Colt commemorative for years now, and snagged this one for the lowest price I've seen one go for since I've been looking. Not crazy low, but still it's basically a fancy Peacemaker with gold plated highlights and a wooden box to keep it together.

I picked this up today from a fellow who bought it, put the forend and laser on it but never shot it. It's the 20ga version of the Shockwave by Mossberg. I have one in 12ga which is MagnaPorted which makes a HUGE difference in recoil on these short ones. I really don't like the forend and laser so I'm putting the original on it and getting this one ported too. It flips, but not as bad as a 12ga.
I drove my cat nuts with the laser after shooting it.

I put an aluminum forend on my Remington 870 Gatekeeper. The extra weight tames the recoil to the point that it is easy to control any 2 3/4" 00 buck or slugs. I put a Crimson Trace Rail Master on it, but haven't had a chance to give it a "shake down".

The grips on my S&W Model 10 have never fit me.
Sooooo, I went on E-Bay, found a nice set of Pachmayrs,, and ordered them giving all the info, including that this revolver has a FLAT butt.
Not a round butt.
Sooooo,,,,,guess what arrived,,,,,???? ROUND BUTT !!!
Trying to contact Wholesale Hunter in Alabama, but their phone answerer
needs training as I get cut off when she attempts to transfer the call.
I am about to get my Dremel Tool out and do some removal of about 7/16" horizontally. Material is Goncalo Alve, and looks super hard.
Anybody done this ????

been a while since I posted in this thread, but recently bought the estate guns of a old collector
a lnw/o box savage 340V in 225 Winchester with 7 boxes of factory ammo
a 2000 model 1895G marlin 45-70
a 1963 Remington 870 duck magnum with vr
a 1979 browning B2000 12 guage w vr
a 1956 browning 22 ATD with wheel sight
a Winchester 250 with wheel sight
all the above were as new without boxes
a early 80s 37 no dash in nickel w box
a colt 1911-2011 engraved colt 1911 with box and papers
a nickel BDA 380 with box and paper
none of the above guns appear to have been fired since leaving the plants
a very nice miroku Charles daly superior grade o/u 12 ga single trigger auto ejectors , 30" full over full, well used but well loved this was the guys duck gun
a custom built 30-06 hunting rifle built on a 1920 mauser 98, using a Winchester model 70 brl, beautiful royal blue job like the early pythons, with a nice monte carlo walnut stock with cheek pad, gold bead front sight with redfield peep on rear, the peep was taken off and he had it mounted for scope use later, this was his deer gun, again well used but well loved, and its a great example of what some early gun smiths were able to do

I just bought a Belgium Browning Challenger made in 1965. I never cared for a Ruger or a High Standard. A Colt Woodsman is too expensive. The Browning fits my hand, and it is fun to shoot. Also, I wanted one in 1965 but was too young to buy one.

Bought a G2 frame today. I have 2 other G1 contender frames and I was worried the trigger wouldn't be as good. It's much better than my later angry cat frame.
I wanted a frame just for my 445 super mag barrel. I don't want to risk stretching out an older frame that I can't replace.
edit- the G2 trigger is NOT better than my angry cat frame, my angry cat frame just needed the trigger adjusted to take the creep out of it. Now it's like breaking a glass rod.

Anybody see a problem with the listing? Here's a hint: It aint 4 inches long.
I have a 29 No Dash in need of a transplant waiting.

A new Remsport barrel for my new to me Hi Power. Apparently someone tried to dig a squib out of the original barrel with a pry bar. I was able to lap the crown and shoot it but it has quite a scar and burr across one land and groove abou 1/4" from the muzzle. Surprisingly it didn't key hole but lacks accuracy.
So another $180 later it should be a good shooter, all other parts look pretty good.
