Nice. S&W is now using Altamont stocks as their OEM.
Great product and a good move by S&W

December has been very good Redhawk and S&W 625-5
My last two purchases other than grips for my Sigs, on 12/02 found a Ruger Redhawk 7 1/2 barrel in 357 Magnum, and on 12/26 found a Smith&Wesson 625-5 5 inch in .45Colt. I have no more funds, but two cool older revolvers.

Christmas brought me a 686-6 performance center 357x7 2.5 inch beautiful piece of metal work S&W. I have yet to take it to the range....will be a blast to shoot. Life is good!! Did I say it has beautiful wood grips and finish. (sorry, I did not mean to get carried away). Have a great New Year everyone.

Picked up this early 1966 Colt SP1 at my LGS earlier this month.
It's all original. It came out of an estate in California and from
the looks of it hung on a wall or something. It had dust all over
the rear sight, front sight, and on the gas tube.
These early models used a roll pin to hold the buffer tube onto
the lower receiver. Also, the bolt carrier has no notches , and
the bore and chamber are not chrome lined.
The front sight base is cast instead of forged, and all the
steel parts have a nice brown patina to them. The safety se-
lector is dimpled on both sides too. Haven't shot it yet.

Bought an old Colt A1 upper receiver with a teardrop forward assist, a repro aluminum stock, a charging handle, and an Aero lower. Needed the lower to get my old Colt Commando clone back up and running.

A Ruger LC9s Santa dropped it off, I have only fired about a dozen rounds, some FMJ and some HP, to be sure it was ok. There were no problems feeding any of them it's a small sample, I know, but will do more later on.

Added this little gal to my collection last week - M&P 15-22 Sport CT Compliant Model. I added the Hogue AR grip and a cheap reflex sight immediately after purchase, but had to forego the vertical fore grip to avoid committing a felony. Next, I may upgrade the trigger group, but as is, this rifle gets my vote for the best current-production semi-auto 22 rifle for under $500.
Also added to my collection in the last month:
- 2011 vintage Stoeger Cougar in 9mm - Essentially the same gun as the Beretta Cougar and the forerunner to the PX4 Storm pistols, with an alloy frame instead of polymer. The Stoeger model, and some of the later Beretta Cougars can interchange some parts with the 92FS, i.e. the hammer, sear, and mag release. Will add photos upon return from the gunsmith for adjustable sight install.
- Glock 36 - used, but practically brand new, and a great shooter.
and coming soon, probably next week, a Dan Wesson Model 22...

Just picked up this Mauser byf 44 in very nice condition. Weird example with a non serial numbered receiver.
Note: After some research I find that it is not that unusual for the late war BYF's to have a non numbered receiver.

latest purchase
S & W model 46, extra grips, an 80's something(working) red dot and extra mag $715 delivered to my FFL.
No cracks detected on the slide when viewed under maginification. Original black plastic grips are missing, wood grips on the gun are chipped but I knew that before purchasing, bore is clean and bright according to my FFL. Early gun serial # 27438 (guessing about 1959?)

Not a purchase, but rather a trade. The friend who traded me the first pistol he ever purchased, a Sig SP2022, regretted it and wanted it back. So I traded it back to him for a Springfield XD-s 4" Bi-tone. It's a nice gun except for the trigger.
The trigger on the XD-s is over 8lbs, hard mush to the break, reset farther out than it needs to be. A $70 Powder River Precision spring and sear kit would bring the trigger down to 5 - 5.5 lbs, shorten the reset, but still would have a soft mush before the break. I don't think I want to put $70 and time into the XD-s. It will end up being trading fodder.

My last purchase, merry Christmas to me, was a S&W second/sample gun. It is a Smith & Wesson M&P15 VTAC LE. It has a VTAC lower and a TS upper. It came into work in a shipment with about 60 other seconds and sample guns from Smith & Wesson. The price was just to good to pass up.

The latest two additions.........in later part of the year were a Kimber Ultra Carry II 9mm in Sapphire and a KelTec Sub2K Gen 2 40 cal Glock mags (honey, it's really a house gun for yooouuuu!).
In addition to the other acquisitions last year, I think the Missus has put me on probation or something.....I don't know, sumthin about cutting my access off to something or other...not sure what she meant by that!!!!! LOL!!!!

Came across a deal that was too good to pass up on a S&W 442, another Shield 9, 2,000 rounds of 9mm and 500 rounds of .45ACP.
Picked up a Azula OWB holster for the new S&W 442. I've been wanting to try them out for sometime now. I didn't have a holster for this particular handgun so I figured now was as good of time as any. I have to say the overall quality is great. For a handmade leather holster under $50 I don't see how you could go wrong.
Found a good deal on a Grade 2 Fat 50cal, Grade 2 standard 5.56, and Grade 2 30cal ammo boxes so picked them up. Also ran across a deal on a "used" set of Crimson Trace grips for the 442.

Just picked up a very nice 1958 Walther P38 and after a day at the range she ran great. I have to drift the front site a little, but overall she is a great purchase.
