A shop I frequent in NC has a Winchester 100 .243/.308 magazine in VGC for $55.00. This will interchange with a Winchester 88 mag, though the followers are shaped differently on the back edge. 88=beveled, 100=straight.
I head home late tomorrow, but am willing to pick this up and mail it out to to a needy person. The shop won't, I asked already. I just do not want to be stuck with it.
I have a .284 Model 88 pre 64 but I appreciate you bringing this up. It's a rather obscure item which makes it that more special to come across. I also have an after market extended mag. for the 88 in .284. Made by Croydon, i believe. Thanks for thinking of us.
I think 100s are wearing out faster than their magazines
but on the same line of thought, I have an old never used Remington 7600 series 308 mag sitting on a shelf. Dad got the wrong one for his (now worn out) 100.
