Default Neat little Remington find

It seems that while I continue to look for the "perfect" .22 auto pistol, I keep stumbling on to other treats such as this little Remington rolling block Model 6

Yep! Doggon thing! I was headed out of the shop, turned around and nearly tripped over the thing just sitting there, wagging its little tail. I was helpless to say no.

Neat little rifle. Congrats on a nice find.

I have that same little rifle hanging on the wall with some family mementos. My S/N suggests a 1904 mfg date. Mine is not operable; the bore was rusted badly when my Grandmother found it in her home and offered it to me. She said it belonged to her father, my Great Grandfather. She recalled it was his "squirrel" gun.

I buffed it up and did some cold blue to a couple bad spots and cherish it just as it is.

Thanks. I had just been in the same shop a few weeks ago and it wasn't there. They said it came in last week and had garnered some attention. This is in a part of town where used Glocks and pseudo-AKs move in and out quickly. It took me approximately 10 sec to decide I wanted it and about 10min to negotiate what I thought was a good price. The bore has great rifling and is bright and shiny; the bluing is solid through out.

I've gotta stop looking for a .22 auto pistol.
