Bolt Action Shotgun
Hi:
A friend contacted me that has an older Bolt Action 410 Shotgun with a tubular magazine. He needs a "Part" but doesn't know the manufacture or Model.
Anyone know ??

I know that both Mossberg and Marlin made bolts. They also made them under other stores brand. Names like Sears, Wards, Western auto sold lots of guns made by big name companies
Sorry best I can do!

Should have a mfg'r or Store Branded name on it Most likely on the barrel, sometimes the receiver.
With the Storebrand name you can cross check to see who actually made it.
Several US mfg's made 410 bolt action tube feed shotguns.
Stevens, Mossberg and H&R all made tube feed bolt action shotguns that I can recall quickly. I remember the Marlin 'clip' fed models, but not a tube feed,,but they made so many different guns they may have.
The Stevens 59A .410 tube feed is still seen around quite a bit.
You need some basic info to start with.

I have a Marlin Goose Gun that is a Bolt Action 12 Gauge with a 2 round box magazine. I believe the barrel length to be 28". I did not know they manufactured bolt action shotguns with tubular magazines 'till just now. See, you learn something new every day!
Oh, by the way if anyone is interested in mine, PM me - haven't used it in 30 years!

Not to hi-jack your thread but a buddy of mine years ago always kept an old ****** bolt action 10 gauge magnum shotgun in the boat when we were goose hunting, it had a barrel that must have been a mile long. He called it his "tail end charlie getter". We would get a flock to flare and get off all our shots and while they were flying away out of 12 gauge range he would often reach down into the boat and haul that chunk of artillery up and blast away with 10 gauge magnums at the "tail end Charley", often times getting that goose or another that might have been winged and slower to get away. I can't remember the maker...it was a brute to shoot.
