Default I was surprised to see this.

Checking out some info on the Colt Cobra (bought one today) I looked at the Wikipedia entry. Take a gander at reference #5.

Ha ha ha. Nice article!!!

The reason I got an N-Frame was to shoot magnum rounds. I just shoot the 158 gr .357 mags and have fun.

Also, don't forget the article I wrote for Shotgun News a couple years ago.

Didn’t an infamous fellow say that if you repeat something enough times it will get used as a Wikipedia reference? Your next step is to be declared an expert commentator here. I suspect you may have to contribute an expert commentary first.

Seriously, I’m not arguing that +P .38 special is hot stuff, but were is the 1972 reduction in SAAMI’s standard pressure documented?

On reflection I’ll add that apparently Wikipedia accepted an unknown person’s screen name as a reference. This is an example of why professors don’t accept Wikipedia as a reference for their student’s papers. Perhaps you’ll have fun telling your classes you can make an exception in this case.

Very impressed. You are officially an expert , cause if is on the Internet it must be true.

I have read many discussions of the 1972 adjustments by SAAMI. I don't have a specific reference handy but it almost seems like common knowledge at this point.

Yes, some say Wiki is not a truly authoritative source because anyone can post info there. But on the other hand, anyone can come along and dispute bad info or edit it. So if you post real garbage on Wiki it will likely be challenged. I generally find the info correct.

OK, quick search and here's a reference to the 1972 SAAMI revisions.

The Truth About Firearms and Concealed Carry
By Daniel R. Engel

On Page 22 the author discusses the 38 Special standards being lowered in 1972 as everyone believes.

Nice article.

Not only are you an internet sensation you're a local celebrity too. During a special engagement for mythical creatures at a local natural history museum next to the Bigfoot display was spotted the Saxon Pig display.
