The Three Sigs
Took a group photo today of the three Sigs. The 226 and 228 are West Germany with the proof marks. The 220 45acp was a LE trade in and came with three ss mags. It is stamped Made In Germany. Beautiful day here in NC!

Great, now all you need is a P6 in 9mm made in West Germany and one of the sigs that was made in Switzerland. Think they did make one in 357 sig and still kick myself when I think about it. Just didn't want to load up for another pistol cartridge. Frank

I have an EARLY West German P220 in .45 acp. It has the "pointed" spur hammer instead of the rounded hammer tip. I put a Harrts recoil reducer in it as I had one laying around. It is/was not "needed", but it sure keeps the muzzle flip to a minimum while doing rapid fire. I tried it in my P226 and noticed little, if any, difference. I have Tritium night sights on the P220 and have total confidence in it. It is definitely a favorite bottom-feeder of mine. Nice bevy of Sigs BTW.....

Those three are IMO the best classic Sigs out there. Currently I own a KA 228, KC 220. I have my eye on a CPO 226 at the moment.
OPaul, you've got a nice starter set there.

The thread title suggested the first couple of lines of a song, which I'll offer here:
We, Three Sigs, of Germany are,
Carried by cops, near and far.

They're nice but a little on the thick side. They feel great shooting and have no problem reaching the trigger, but have some difficulty reaching the decocker and mag release. I want to use it for idpa so I just order a set of Hogue G10 piranha grips, which I've read are a little thinner. I didn't care for the E2 grips as they were a little to small for my med-large palms/hands.

Nice set of Sigs. I have a P6 and P220, both W. German, along with a couple of others. I like the older ones. I leave them original and shoot them often. Except for a Browning P35 and a H&K P7, I'm pretty well cured of owning any other semi-autos.
