Chinese. Help!
I'm trying to transform my meagre knowledge of the Shansei 45 ACP caliber copies of the Mauser Broomhandle into an article for Auto Mag, the journal of the National Automatic Pistol Collectors' Association. The Shanseis are marked on the right side of the frame, where a Mauser is marked "Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf a/ Neckar". I know what the Chinese markings mean. However one of my pistols has had this marking ground off and another inscription in Chinese added. Does anyone know of a person or agency whoan translate this for me?
I can supply full sized images instead of this thumbnail, either as an attachment to an e-mail or in hard copy.

I think the marking in your picture refer to the year of manufacture, " national year 24...something" I don't understand what the last couple of word means. the Chinese Nationalist government was established on 1911, after the over throw of the Imperial Dynasty, so the marking in your picture stated the pistol was manufactured in 1935.

The site is in Chinese, but google translate can help you to read material on it, you may also want to order the book "China's small arm of the 2nd Sino Japanese war" there are lots of info regarding Chinese firearms used in WW2.

I haver both the Chinese version (I was told the pictures are better) and the English version of China's Small Arms of the 2nd Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945). I may write Bin Shih and see what he says. My only criticism of the book is that it's too short.
