Default New to me Sig P230

Sig Sauer P230. Belonged to a friend of mine's grandfather. He was selling to raise some cash for his grandmother. I've read that these are very accurate little pistols. The 3 shots on the test target would seem to reflect that.

I found a factory holster in a LGS bargain bin.

Haven't decided to keep or sell yet.

Congrats!

I've shot the 232 (slightly newer version.) and love it. They are indeed VERY accurate.

It's probably not the most practical carry gun but it sure makes a good one since it's so thin and light.

I like 'em! I have the P232 and it's sweet. I've always looked at the P232/P230 as a really cool gun. I like several of the modern European designs and this along with the HK P7 are my favorites. I'd recommend keeping it especially since you have all the stuff that came with it including the target. Nice find!

You should probably fire it before you even attempt to decide. Then, you should keep it.

I sold mine, and I regret it.

I definitely plan on shooting it. My dilemma is that it is in excellent, almost NIB condition. It might be worth quite a bit more than I paid for it to a collector. If I start carrying it then it quickly becomes a $275-325 gun with carry wear.

My initial plan was to flip in and put the money towards a new semi-auto shotgun or a CCW in 9mm. .380 is an oddball caliber for me and I really didn't want to stock and/or start reloading another caliber.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying. I'm only suggesting carefully firing a couple mags, perhaps a box or two, through it. I can't imagine how that could seriously affect the condition. See how it feels, to you. I wouldn't think that it would be necessary to carry it around a lot to see if you have any interest in keeping it.

After firing a reasonable number of rounds, I'd suspect that you'd be able to reach a conclusion as to whether you have any interest in keeping it, or not.
