Default Any Love for SOG Knives?

This thread is prompted by my Christmas present from Conchita. a SOG Spec Elite. I think it is the Spec Elite I; in any case it is the one that is about the same size as the BM Griptilian (as ever, pardon the ****** cell phone pics):

Conchita also gave me the Grip for Christmas 3 or 4 years ago. It is one of my favorite EDC knives. The Spec Elite bears an uncanny similarity to the Grip in size, weight and price. SOG's Arc-Lock is an obvious copy of Benchmade's Axis lock, and works as well.

It is a pretty nice knife. I prefer the Grip slightly, mostly because of the more ergonomic handle shape, and because it is USA-made, not Japan, but would not be disappointed if I had to choose the SOG over it. The GRP scales feel good in the hand and it came nice and sharp out of the package.

The Spec Elite has improved my opinion of SOG knives in general. My only other experience is with the assisted Flash II Tanto, a much less expensive knife. I have to tread lightly here, because I know this knife has quite a few fans, so let's just say I have never bonded with my Flash II. The assist feature feels tinny, not just in comparison to more expensive knives, but also in contrast to comparably priced assist knives from Kershaw and CRKT. It works perfectly well; I just don't like it much.

So who has SOG knives? What do you like about them, and what not?

I've only got two, an older Tigershark (circa 1999) and a Seal Team. Both are well made and in the case of the TS, somewhat collectible. Just never got into their folders though some do look interesting.

I have a SOG Agency. It's patterned after the Randall Model 1 Fighter. Not a bad knife. It takes a good edge and seems to hold it pretty well. It has the 7-inch blade, which, in my opinion, is too long for hunting/camping work, but would be excellent if you had to gut somebody like a fish....not that you'd ever want to do something like that though.

SOG's knives are nice, but their Multi Tools seem to be lacking in durability.
I got the 'PowerAssist EOD' and the phillips head driver attachment broke during its first project (and the swing out 'covers' keep popping off). I had to go in and dug out my old Leatherman to finish the job.

If you're ever tempted to get this Multi Tool, save your money.

I carry a SOG Aegis everyday. I love the way the clip allows the whole knife to go into my pocket without some of it showing. I have the non-serrated edge, and it holds up pretty well. It's also light in weight for its size. Customer service is excellent. I let someone tighten the clip screw, and they over did it. The screw broke. All I had to do was email SOG, and they sent a brand new clip and screw with no questions asked. It came fast also. Sorry, no pictures.
