Default New knife

Did some research and read this was an excellent knife at this price point along with free shipping. Nice blade, G10 handles, solid lock up and the flipper opens as fast as an assist. All in all was happy I took the plunge.

This site has the various models but it was much cheaper on eBay.

Looks OK and price is more than reasonable. What steel if I may ask. Big fan of the G-10 grips myself. Got em on a Buck I own.

What is G-10? Is it that "rubber" kinda handle that doesn't get slippery?
Nice knife, love the price!

G-10 is a high-pressure fiberglass laminate, a type of composite material.[1] It is created by stacking multiple layers of glass cloth, soaked in epoxy resin, and by compressing the resulting material under heat until the epoxy cures.[2][3] It is manufactured in flat sheets, most often a few millimeters thick. D2 is a decent steel from what I have read. The new Sog Trident has D2 steel I saw advertised. for around $90-100. Sounds like a tougher steel than the Aus-8 steel on my older Trident Tanto. Wonder how easy it is to sharpen being carbon.

D2 and G10 are pretty good materials for a $32 knife, often offered as upgrades from a manufacturer’s basic materials, like AUS8 and FRN. D2 is said to have excellent edge retention but is correspondingly hard to sharpen. Thats if it is genuine D2. A lot of Chinese D2 is not D2, more likely something like 8CR13MOV. Most of us could not tell them apart.
CJRB, and its parent company, Artisan Cutlery, have a pretty good reputation, however, so their D2 is probably genuine.
