Korriphila HSP 701...could it be the finest pistol ever?

Do you own any Sphinx firearms? Made in Switzerland.

They are high quality, perhaps not that of your Korriphila but very well made.

I have a older ATM 380 which a a fine piece of stainless.

Not my gun but exactly the same, my pictures are not as good.

Oh yes. Check out the link in the post above yours. I have the AT380 as well, but didn't include it in the guide.

bc1023:

Thank you for sharing your photos and information. I remember years ago reading about these pistols in gun magazines, and wishing I could afford one, one day. Well, I'm still wishing I could afford one, but it's not going happen. To me, the finest affordable production handgun I own is the H&K PSP P-7. I was lucky enough to buy one a few years ago - a German Police turn-in, and I am amazed at the superb engineering and workmanship.

I've got to admit, I'm a bit of a wise guy, and I used the PSP to qualify for my CHL, and then used it again three years later for my renewal. The range master at the firing range during my first qualification had never seen, or heard of a H&K squeeze cocker, and was embarrassed to have to ask me how to check and clear the piece. The range master at the firing range for my recertification was an older guy, and had heard of, but never seen a PSP. He was very impressed with the accuracy and functioning of the piece - I shot perfect scores both times. I've enclosed a photo of my humble PSP P-7 - doesn't hold a candle to your fine semiautos, but I'm happy with it.

Regards,

Dave

Range report: I shot mine for the first time a few weeks ago.

It is a genuinely fantastic shooter. Recoil is very manageable and pleasant, with effortless and quick follow-up shots. The trigger is spectacular for a DA/SA, with the SA mode easily competing with good SAO target gun triggers. I had a few stovepipes in the first few magazines, but reliability sorted itself out eventually for smooth sailing.

I really want to get another so I can make one my "shooter" and bring it every trip, it's that good. One of my top performing 45s for sure, at least at my normal 10-15yd casual target sessions.

I also love the way the gun shoots. I'll be shooting mine some more in another week.

I'm fortunate enough to have a friend who also owns one and we're going to have ourselves a little comparison shootout.
