Default Shooting the "Thunderbolt" slide action .44-40 "pistol"

This is a repro of the Colt Lightning slide action rifle but in pistol form from the factory. AWA made ten of them before going out of business. It is very fast and comes with a holster rig identical to Steve McQueen's Mare's Leg outfit. But this gun functions much faster as the slide moves a very short distance. I got to shoot five rounds which is about what it holds. No, I wasn't accurate with it but it sure was fun, which is it's only purpose, really. but that's good enough for me.

A pump action mares leg who'da thunk it? Wonder why we don't see more pumps like these. Different, the cool factor for sure. A 22cal would be fun. Any more pics of the the gun? Close up?

Makes more sense than the lever guns. Cool little shooter!

Bill, I sent you a PM of a closeup but it's from an article and i don't want to post a potential copyrighted pic here. But it shows the rig, too. The picture I sent you is from a John Taffin article where he tested this very gun. It was then given as a gift from the factory to the gentleman seen in the golf cart above.
