The ugliest thing on that gun is just above the cylinder release.

I can't believe the rack didn't just reject (eject?) the Daisy!

Sure, I'd take either one for the right price. I mean, I'd pay $200 for that demolished Glock. Then I'd go to Ace and get me some barbecue paint and fix it.

Yeah, it's a shame that such quality effort was put into destroying a nice gun.

The Ghost Busters nerd in me loves that, and the gun nerd in me hates it.... I'm torn. Would never in a thousand years buy it though.

Ok, ok. After I closed my eyes my breathing has restored. You can take me off the machines.
Question, it says by pbr. Do you think over indulgence in this fine southern beer had any influence?

On another site, the OP asked about logos for the rear plates on glocks and where to find one that is a skull with long "fangs". Not really sure but I think the kids refer to that logo as monster (something). My reply was along the lines that even glocks are weapons and should not be viewed in the light of toys.
Would you believe the OP got offended! Came back with a long winded rant about it being his gun and living in a free country etc... I didn't even take the time to reply.
Kinka cute, another poster remarked about it looking as though the OP lacked maturity, and would not "trust" him enough to be on the shooting line at the same time he was there! As for me? I LAMSO!!
The picture posted here does take childish to a new level. As part of the older generation, I have trouble understanding the "draw the the TV toys" (XBox Gameboy and whatever else is out there), not by teenagers, but grown men! Well, Grown men-may be an overstatement on my part.
Scariest part- they vote!

Darn it! If anyone attempted to rob me with that firearm, I'd end up shot! No way would I even consider that real! Chances are good I'd be shot on the ground not because I was begging, but laughing!
Big question is, how hard would it be to get that off there.

I saw something that indicated that there are a very few people that are the finest engravers in the world, some of them still operating as of the time the show was made.
There is a guy that hand paints the detail striping on Rolls Royce's. They say he has the steadiest hands in England.
I don't like 'over engraving' but I sure admire their work.
PS That Luger looks like Ivory scrimshaw work. Not something you see every day, or every year for that matter.
Now that Colt is amazingly tasteful.

Just what you don't want, a firearm that looks like a toy. Any child that had the opportunity, and yes it does happen daily due to irresponsible gun owners and the storage of their firearms that up to 5 children a day are both killed and injured by firearms. One occurred just last week that made the press. Fortunately the responsible party was jailed. This concept of giving a lethal weapon the appearance of a toy is just WRONG. I'm just saying if you consider that if just 1% of gun owners don't properly secure their firearm that is still a huge number of potential children at risk for potential injury or death. Only a irresponsible clown would feel the need to own this firearm in my opinion, shame on you!

Surely these are Airsofts that someone has made gag guns out of.
And by gag, I don't mean funny.

Count me in the column that a firearm should look like a firearm.
I realize the marketing schemes are in place to appeal to different markets, but the various colors can be a real problem in disturbances where the gun is involved. Think family squabble and female (or male) pulls the purple gun, trying to decide if it is real or not, may get someone hurt.
As to the original "decorated" Glock, there have always been those who try to individualize or make art. They just need to use a different medium than guns.

In all seriousness, I'd be interested to know why you think the engraved 1911 is an abomination?
Granted, the grips are a bit over the top (I'm being polite). I've never cared for metal grips. But...what if the pistol was sporting a pair of ivories, or some classic stags?
The pistol in the photo is full coverage. There's one very similar in style and coverage for sale on a popular auction right now that I've looked at closely. My bidding on it got left in the dust a while back. It even comes with a Colt letter. If I had the money, I'd keep going on it, cause it's obviously unique and one of a kind.
It's probably just me, but I think every serious collector and eater-of-barbecue should have at least one outrageously engraved pistol or revolver and a super-duper-fancy-dancy carved leather rig to tote it around in.
I haven't found mine yet, but I will. Possibly this year, we'll see. And it'll be a large caliber, too. I want one gun that's totally unique to me, one that will be the only one like it on the planet. And if I don't find one, I have at least two candidates I'd consider sending off to have engraved.
I understand the "eye of the beholder concept". Just offering a counterpoint here.

If you like it Watchdog, go for it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As far as I'm concerned, that one is ugly. Changing the grip panels won't help.
Even so, it exists because someone wanted it. Takes all kinds.
