Grandson tries out his Christmas guns
I decided to give my grandson a couple of very special Christmas gifts. His mother told me that he had asked "Santa Clause" for a .22 pistol and a cartridge belt with a holster. With his parents approval and a lot of advice from granddaddy,I presented him with a first-year Ruger Single Six flatgate,a carved holster and 1,000 rounds of ammo. He was pleased. He and my son met me at our hunting club today to try out his new acquisition.
I also brought along an old Remington Model 12C that is one of my favorites. He decided that he really liked it too,so you can guess the rest. Yep,that one went home with him too. I have to admit that I'm a pushover when it comes to this kid.
It was a good day.
