Default My Magpul PMAG D60 AR 15 Drum Magazine

We were out this morning firing my Sig P516 and my friends S&W MP 15 carbine using my newly acquired Magpul PMAG D60 AR 15 Drum Magazine. Combined we fired 420 rds of 5.56x45 Ammo by PMC - 55gr FMJ. The magazine performed flawlessly with no hiccups or FTF.

The 60rd drum is the same length as my 30rd Magpul and a little heavier but not uncomfortable. It has a very solid feel and is extremely well built. One down size would be the storage if you would carry more than one.

The cost was $123.95 compared to a 30rd mag for about $12.00. So is it cost efficient for 30 extra rds, no, but it sure is fun. My friend has a Surefire 60 that he purchased for 79.95, however, the difference is that the Magpul 60 fired all the rds with no FTF. I will leave it at that.

All-in-all, we found that the Magpul 60 was extremely reliable. If you need a new toy for your AR this may be it.

Interesting. Would be a neat range toy, but for $124, I could buy a lot of 30 round mags.
