Got a friend with some mounting medical bills who asked me to help her with some of her late father's guns. He died in 01 and they haven't been touched since. The colts and smith's I've got a good handle on market price and most sold to fellow guys on here pretty quick. However I'm not an AK guy so I need some help

She has a norinco underfolder AK47. Slant muzzle brake, pre-ban (not that matters much) with a shiny bore.
Downside is some surface rust from her lack of knowledge of how to care. I'm sure it will clean up and I can do that myself. I've already stripped it down and did an internal cleaning and fire test. Runs fine.
Help with value and fair asking price would help alot. Her dad was a smith collector and she needs our help. Offers are also great. Thanks alot

Oh, meant to add this to the message as well there is a auto ordnance 1927a1 semi auto from the 1980s that is in very good shape as well. On both of these firearms I see lots of prices listed on auction sights but none really selling, I no longer have an account for gunbroker because of bad experiences so I don't know what they really are selling for.

Asuming it's a stamped receiver preban Norinco it might go as high as
$1200 or even more with the underfolding stock. If it had a milled
receiver it would probably be marked Poly Tech and would be worth
quite a bit more than $1200.

I'll try and look tomorrow and get some picks. Pretty sure it is labeled norinco
She just seems to be able to find the sling and a couple of mags, no bayonet or box.

Mags are not a big deal. It's nice to have original but if the box is gone and there is some rust the mags won't make it worth more. All AK47 mags in 7.62x39 caliber are the same regardless of country. Some have slightly different ribs or an occasional chrome follower but the mags themselves work in any AK chambered in that cal.
