Default Bulldog Yoke

I have an early eighties Charter Arms Bulldog. I sent it to the factory after I got it for some work - when it came back the crane/yoke was cranked on pretty tight. I can work the latch easy enough, but need to actually push the cylinder down by hand - it doesn't happily drop down like my K-frames do. I know how to adjust the K-frame cylinders - any of you have any good tips re: getting the crane here to loosen up? I already figured I can work it about 75,000 times but would prefer something more direct.
