Find a chain Fagnus pinfire revolver
OK, You are not really in to pinfire revolvers. But in Europe we do. I find a very rare Fagnus pinfire revolver. The cilinder is attached to a chain. So you can not loose it. The working of the revolver is clear in the pictures. No it is not a cheap revolver and Yes I am happy with it.
The revolver is from the mid 1870.

Interesting.
The chain looks like it belongs to a bathroom sink drain plug. Is the chain original or an add-on? If original I imagine it was frequently lost or broken so to have one intact is probably significant?

The French and Belgian pin fires like the Perrin, Lefaucheux and those Fagnus guns were some of the most elegant revolvers ever made, IMO.

I have only seen pictures of those chained cylinders. I don't know anything about what type of chain was originally used, but I suspect it was not of the beaded keychain type shown in the pictures. I think that beaded chain was not in wide use prior to the 20th century.

The chain is all original to the gun/ You can find compering pictures in the book about the revolver from Taylerson and other good books about the subject. I am very happy with it. Al do there is an American out there who seems that this revolver is only 200 to 300 dollar worth. HaHahaha
