I'm experiencing light strikes on my newly purchased 1907. I thoroughly cleaned the breech-plug without disassembling it and that didn't solve it, so now I need to get to the firing pin & FP spring but find nothing online to tell me how. Help?

Lock the slide back and turn the assembly that contains the hammer 90 degrees clockwise and pull rearward.

Gunpartscorp used to have hammer springs for them. Not sure if they still do.
Here's a video that may help as well.

The slide firing pin assembly is not difficult to disassemble, And I imagine the video will show you how. I have torn several of them down, but not recently. No idea how difficult it is to get replacement springs (or any other parts) but I imagine not too difficult.

The above video will be no help. I have yet to find a video or detailed disassembly instructions for the breech plug. I would like to know how to disassemble it as well.

See The Gun Digest Book of Firearms Assembly/Disassembly Part. 1: Automatic Pistols, Revised Edition by J.B. Wood for the detail strip instructions on the Savage breech bolt assembly

Yes, Page 388. That book and also "The Great Automatic Pistols of Europe" has saved the bacon for me in disassembling many guns.
