first impressions on my CZ 75

Guide rod

Rosskale2,

Stainless steel guide rod + CZ with an aluminum frame = potential issues. If you do want to purchase a steel guide rod, buy one from the CZ factory store website.

HI John, yes CZ dose sell them on their website and I did ask them about it. The stainless steel guide rod is really for competition pistols. CZ told me they contract CZ Custom to customize competition pistols like the trigger job etc... They custom CZ p01 really isn't customized for carry although you can. Competition pistols put a lot of rounds in a short amount of time. CZ told me yes, even though they do sell the stainless steel guide rod they won't warranty any frame damage. Just as any pistol manufacturer people should call and ask first about the warranty and any modification done. Just like a new car.

Holsters

Here is my CZ Custom upgraded CZ-75, adjustable sights and trigger job added;

Blade-Tech makes holsters for most of the CZ line, check with them on your needs. This thing shoots with my two custom 1911/2011 pistols for a third the price. I use it for plates, NRA Bullseye and PPC.
Nice pistol. Yes, CZ is getting more and more holster options. Check out Vedder or Dara Holsters, Dara is ridiculous on how many holsters they have for pistols. CZ and Walther are both getting more holster options I have noticed. I actually have a Relentless Tactical suede leather iwb for my P01 and I also use it for my Walther P99as full size. The suede leather is holding up good I even unloaded my pistols and tried to manipulate the trigger through the suede and there is no way I could rub my fingers through the suede to the trigger. I got the Relentless Tactical iwb holster off Amazon, also the clip is steel and very strong.

Just to advise, the Relentless Tactical suede leather iwb you do have to take off for reholstering. But it is comfortable. I have been checking out Vedder also I think they have a kydex iwb for P01.

CZ 75B and CZ 85 Combat

I have these. Both circa 1994. Love them both. The CZ 75 B is 1.5" groups at 25 and the CZ 85 Combat is 2.5" groups at 25. Both have half-cock type safety. Both all steel. Both flawless. Great combat and target guns.

I been wanting the cz75 in polished stainless. With my cz85db I can use 3' of Kentucky windage at 100yds and ping anything I can see on the berm.

:D

BigBill, you need one. You really need one.

Just got some new grips for my Compact Pro-Tek. Feel much better than the aluminum ones that came from the custom shop. I like the half checkered feel. Also got the holster from High Noon which fits and feels great. This ones a keeper and my daily carry. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Have been debating adding a PCR for a while. I was leaning toward my first 1911, then the CZ, but may have to go with a CZ next. Too many guns, not enough funds.

I have owned a CZ75BD Police for over 2 years. It is one of my winter carry pistols. Currently I use an Alienware OWB holster when I carry it. The holster works but I normally prefer leather, I am kinda old school. With a jacket it conceals very well. The pistol is extremely accurate and I don't think I am under gunned when carrying it.

Enjoy it, CZ makes great pistols.

I keep wanting a CZ75 steel frame gun. I have had a few clones in the past. Was in the buying mood, and another clone came to me last month. Jericho 941, full size .40. My son has 1 in .45ACP, and it is a great gun. Picked mine up on G.B. for $420. Un-issued police/military surplus. It is spotless. Been wanting to go to the range. Hasn't happened yet. Bob
