Default CZ with a twist

When I saw this for sale, I just had to have it. I've been carrying my CZ 75 PCR for about a year and loved it. When I saw the same gun but the Pro-Tek version, I had to have it. The differences aren't huge, but highly effective. The edges have been rounded off, sights replaced and trigger job is out of this world.

CZ Customs make these guns, but very rarely do they come up for sale. I put 150 rounds thru the gun and what a fantastic shooting gun. Took a couple of mags to get used to the straight 8 sights, buy actually really like them now. I did buy a set of wood grips. I like the aluminum grips that come on it, but shooting a few hundred rounds it does become a tad unpleasant. Here are some customary pics.

I have lots of love for CZ - in my mind some of the most ergonomically friendly, reliable, and accurate firearms available at a price range that is amazing compared to competitive offerings.

My new CZ 97B, (.45ACP)which looks nearly identical to your 75, including the aluminum grips, took about one day to become my new favorite. I am a huge fan of the .45ACP, but was never totally won over by the 1911 platform (NOT criticizing, just a personal choice), so this gun grabbed my attention: .45 ACP, all steel (again, a preference of mine and by the way, very nicely finished), fully supported slide, screw-on barrel bushing, and 10 +1 capacity. Sure, some others have more capacity, but this gun has a beautifully slim feel to it. And by the way, you may find yourself wishing for an audience while you shoot - seriously, this thing is accurate - period.

An absolutely great pistol for the money - do yourself a favor and find somewhere to try one out.

Big appeal to me with a CZ is its great ergonomics. I've always been reluctant to change out the factory grips and lose the palm swell. Check out Lokgrips. They do G10 grips with the palm swell. Keep saying I'm going to order me a set but the factory rubber set on my SP-01 feels really good.

Doesn't surprise me in the least, except it seems the herd seems to flock to the latest super ultra scandium titanium amazium anti-gravity negative massium whatever....at least until they send a few hundred rounds downrange.

Give me a chunk of well machined and finished steel any day - it just FEELS right.

Might need to keep my eyes peeled for a 97 next. Haven't met a CZ I didn't like.

I had a P01 that I really, really liked. I got rid of it when I got my CZ-75D back from Cajun Customs. David did such a wonderful job on her that I couldn't see having two CZs. My full-sized CZ-75D has the BEST trigger of ALL of my handguns.

I had Dave do the following:

--Trigger Job (6.75 lbs DA and 3.3 lbs SA)

--Match Bushing

--18-degree crown on muzzle (flush with bushing)

--Install Front Meprolight Tritium

--Complete internal smoothing

--Short Trigger Mod (with setting the trigger back into the frame when decocked

--Extended Mag Release

The result is a martial looking CZ (the thin Turkish Walnut grips are from the Turkish Gentleman on ebay). Simple, but very smooth.

The CZs are GREAT pistols that seem to fly under the radar of most. Enjoy yours. CZ Custom makes some wonderful guns and accessories for the CZs. I also got a Kramer Ladies Holster (they're perfect for range usage) in Black Horsehide and Kydex, along with a mag pouch from Kramer.

Cheers!

That's a beauty. Cajun Customs do some great work, had some sights installed on another one of my CZ's by them. I think CZ's do fly under the radar. When you consider you can get a PCR for the same price as a Glock 19, it's a no brainer. The quality and feel of the gun is night and day. I own both so not biased in the slightest.

I ordered a holster from Highnoon holsters. Haven't used them before so hopeful they deliver.
