I have always been a huge fan of the movie "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly". I also love the looks of the Colt 1851 Navy revolver and have an old Hawes black powder replica in .45 caliber. One day a few years ago I stopped into a rather high end sporting goods outfitter/gun shop. You know the type of place North Face, Columbia, Orvis, Merkle, Browning Citori, Cooper, Blaser, Korth, Ed Brown etc. Surprisingly they also stocked a few Uberti and Cimarron Uberti Cowboy guns.

Low an behold, I spy the Colt 1851 Navy cartridge conversion used by Blondie and Tuco in the movie. The Cimarron "Man With No Name" 1871 Colt Open Top Navy. Of course we all know this revolver never existed back then, however I had to have it because it looks exactly like an 1851 Navy and shoots .38 Special standard pressure cartridges. The finish and fit are superb. The pistol is a real hoot at the range too. I saved over $100 by buying the version without the silly snake inlay.

Very nice revolver, steamloco76! Uberti makes some of the finest replica revolvers in the world. I'll bet it's a sweet shooter too!

What a nice gun. I'd have gone with the "Tuco", too. Now you need a lanyard ring for it and you're all set! It looks like the front sight is properly tall enough for common .38 weight bullets as opposed to the percussion guns that are too low like the originals. My .44 Special conversion was done by John Gren in 1993. It's black powder only and shoots great. Barrel lined to .429 for off the shelf lead bullets.
