Default Browning Hi Power fans...ever see...

A Hi Power in a box like this ?
Very clean 1982 vintage I picked up a couple weeks
ago.
Previous owner advised the empty cut out contained
a long lost extended mag.

Never saw a box like for a HP. Brownings never shipped with an extended mag. Nice pistol. Near the end of totally Belgian made and assembled guns.

Looks to me like the box is of more recent vintage. The box style resembles the same outer shell used for the early Five-Seven Pistols. At or near that time FN was also selling the HP pistol marked "FN" with the FN logo instead of "Browning."

Does your box have a correct label matching the pistol? If not, is it possible that the previous owner re-purposed a more recent vintage box?

Never seeing a Browning HP in a box like that. Take it out of the box and take some pictures. Would love to see that beauty in all its glory. Good score

IIRC (?) in the 1980 era the Browning Hi-Power 9mm pistols came in a black pistol rug with a red interior.

Just a SWAG but, was the previous owner in the military and stationed in Europe? It could possibly have been a purchased from a U.S. based rod and gun club in the ETO.
