Found some old pictures I thought I had lost of a Baker Elite single barrel trap gun. It's sitting in the back of my safe until 2019,
when I hopefully can take it to the trap range to celebrate its 100th Birthday. The Baker Elite is the one on the top with the beefier forearm:
Take a look from medium distance at the extensive checkering and the engraved receiver. Both by Rudolph Kornbrath:

I know it was engraved and checkered by Rudolph Kornbrath
because my Baker's sibling is at the Cody:

I corresponded with the Cody and they said that their Baker Elite is in a case of "Embellished Guns" with a card saying it was engraved and checkered by Rudolph Kornbrath. Mr. Kornbrath was a master engraver in Hartford, Connecticut who did contract work for many of the finest gun manufacturers during the years 1910-1937.Rudolph Kornbrath
The Baker "Elite" was not Baker's top of the line.
That honor went to the Baker "Superba"
