3" Kimber .357
In addition to the fact that I have a nostalgic soft side for 3" .357s, IMO, that is one sweet looking piece.

I like the longer grips on the 3" model, so I bought some from Altamont for my 2" K6s.

"Recessed chambers allow for a more compact frame size"
Howzat work? Whether the chambers are recessed or the rear face of the cylinder is machined off to allow for the thickness of the rims, the actual depth of the chambers and the required window size in the frame should be the same. I don't get it....
I like the looks of the snub nosed version. The 3" barrel, not so much.
Like the grips though....

Looks good, nice video but seems odd they would show a semi-auto at the end

I've said it on here before. I really like what Kimber has done here. Still a Smith and Colt guy, but Kimber made a very high quality revolver. I have these two and will add more as Kimber builds different models. Would really like an "Airweight."
Also pictured, is my daughter's 2017 Colt Cobra. I have a bunch of Detectives and Cobras from 1975. She was born in 2017. So, thought that she might like to have this some day.

I have to agree that the Kimber is nicely designed and executed revolver for the most part. But, and I've said it here before, I wish they would have put a full-length ejector rod on the 3". I can't imagine why they wouldn't.
I notice that from the above picture NCBeagle has provided that the Kimber is noticeably more compact than the Colt, which is by no means a large gun. Some nice engineering went into the Kimber, but the 3" just misses the mark for me because of that one little thing. Stupid, I know.

I've looked at the new Kimber and the new Colt . But , I decided I didn't need more guns . I needed more time to shoot and enjoy what I have . Regards , Paul
