Made the rounds of the pawn shops Friday, looking for cheap HVAC tools for my students.
I stumbled out with a Rossi 5 shot that's a dead ringer for a model 36.
This foto isn't mine, but mine is a dead ringer. I just finished tightening up the action.
Not too bad for $184 OTD. :-)

How do you do that?

Nice price.

Steve:
Oversize hand and bolt stop, both fitted with Arkansas stones. Oversize bolt stop made from drill rod and fitted.
Sometimes peening and fitting the ratchet.
A lot of little tricks devised over the years, carefully applied.

I had a Rossi 88, the Model 60 clone, years ago. Well made, reliable, fit and finish not too far below Smith quality. With a little polish of the innards by a smith the trigger was quite acceptable. Nice little gun for under $200. I carried it for a year or so.

There is a little Rossi .44 spc out called the "720" and it is kind of a little cult revolver. I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to have one! The Rossis are not bad guns.
