zips 77065 (store #3292) and 77040 (store #3297) show possible display model Mini-14's still available...call the store and verify with the sporting goods manager....don't rely on whoever happens to answer the phone

Thought I might get one in Davenport. I called, they were all sold in the last couple of days and the inventory hasn't been updated.

The bad news is that all the surrounding stores are out of everything but the takedown 10/22. Which I admit intrigues me. I have one of the Walnut stocked ones and love it...great accuracy. Maybe I'll take a look at one of those. But it doesn't show up with a discount...or at least it doesn't look like it....$338.00 sounds like retail. But I don't know. I'll take a look tomorrow, and have them scan the bar code. If they still have one.

But thanks again for the great tutorial on navigating this search for guns on Walmart!!

My local Walmart had one 10/22 takedown left. Also listed and scanned at $338.

Yep....mine too... I stopped by the one local store that had three 10/22 takedowns listed, and checked one out. Clerk was not busy, and a real nice guy. He scanned it for me and it came back at $338. So I passed. He was aware of the markdowns on the ranch rifles, and told me that the one local store that had some or one, anyway had sold it quickly when the discount was announced.

So I guess I get to save $400!!! LOL.

But again I want to thank rws for his great post.

I may have to check my local WM again. They are still showing 3 in stock but at $599. The trouble is many times there's no clerk in sporting goods. There was a guy the other night that waited at least 20 minutes and when I left he was still waiting.
