My new, to me, knife
Meet my new, to me letter/package opener. It's a mini-switchblade.
Closed, it's about 2 3/8 in. Opened, it's, overall, 4in. The cutting edge is about 1.5 in.
I'm guessing it's 1930s or '40s vintage.
Here it is, next to a quarter for size comparison.
I like it. It's cute!

That's a cute one! I have a little peanut switchblade that's maybe even smaller than that. Next time I dig it out I'll post its picture.

Nice and I like the color. Enjoying starting a collection myself lately. Had a slew of knives as a kid but long gone now. Probably just Schrade or Imperial blades back then. Remember paying around a dollar or even less back in the 60s for many of em. Thanks for the pic.

I had one like that (and lost it) right after the Franco-Prussian War.
I seem to recall the scales were kind of ivory colored. But hell, they could have been red. It was over sixty years ago.
